He's in Washington state..our home state.  I am so excited.. my husband will be doing one side as he is a retired Sr. Chief. As to the other I don't know who he wants to pin him..I have been worrying about everything it seems..what to wear what not to wear..I am just so happy for him and his accomplishments..I read your post on the 27 and it reminded me that I have not been able to be a his reinlistments or pinnings until now.. nothing will keep me from going this time..I can't wait!

Congrats georgie thats wonderful. I went to my sons pinning and my daughter in law put one anchor on and I put the other then the Khaki dinner was a wonderful formal affair.  Everyone we met were so nice. Of course I had to fly to Italy to pin my son but it was worth every penny. My son just made senior Chief while he was deployed. He just got back and will be here on Friday night so big party planned for Saturday. Where is your son?

Does anyone have a son in Seattle, WA? My son will be going there in a few weeks, so I wanted to know if anyone else has a son there and if you have visited there. It will be a further trip to visit him now, but I have never been to the west coast. Looking forward to the visit.

Good morning Ladies, I can't think of anything better then pinning the anchors on our sailors. I flew to Naples Italy 3 years ago to pin my son and it was the proudest moment of my life. Steven has been in 18 years and just signed for another 4 cuurntly hes at Pax River Md but getting ready to change this comming April. Station duty still up in the air but looks like he may end up back in Naples. Thats just way to far from Florida for me.

I am amazed at all different locations your chiefs are at.  My son has been stioned mainly out of San Diego for the last 11 years by his choice.  But since his pinning, he must either switched his job classification or get a change to another ship or location.  There are too many chiefs in his station.  This is me asking, is this normal?

My son was just pinned two weeks ago and so I am new to this forum.  But I am very sure we share the same pride among all of us.

Oh my that is a long way away from your son and his family.  I just have a two hour fight to Jacksonville and then drive up to Kings Bay.  That is nothing to compare with your travel time. Hope you have a great trip!
