Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Your cookies are far more beautiful than mine! My oldest daughter and I made a batch of sailors favorites and I shipped them to her before they left on their underway. I think I sent enough for her to share with her friends but maybe she ate them all herself.

I’ve been writing daily. In a notebook so I can keep them in order with the date. Mostly just words as if we were talking. Trying to just talk to her. I have some encouraging stuff too and stuff to make her laugh. I have some bible verses to share and prayers for her also. Hopefully she will share with others some of it. I also told her to let me know if anyone wasn’t receiving letters..they all need encouragement during this time.

Three weeks from today, january 1st, my daughter begins her journey. We had her party yesterday despite the snow storm. I put out note cards for people to write her an encouraging note and I will mail them one at a time when I get her address. I also put out blank fabric squares and fabric markers for her guests to create a quilt square for her. I will put them into a quilt that I will bring to her when she graduated. She can take it to A school and throughout hee a navy career.

Raequel, my daughter wrote criptic notes on her form letter and drew us pictures!
I started a letter and just added to it everyday until I got her address. Make sure you number your letters as they don't always get them in order. It's weird without them but we're here for you. We've all been there. Mine is underway right now so my communication is cut off for an unknown time too.
