My husband is on stand-by for Utah so it seems that I'll be dealing with all the dog fun by myself so I'd love the company.  Ya'll come on by!

Come on August!

Good morning everyone.  I don't comment on here very often any more but please know how I love hearing all these stories!

My daughter is in Bahrain, has been there since last Sept, so this is all still pretty new to me.  She is doing well, I guess, she hates the heat of course.  She is having a good time there on her days off.  Her job is pretty physical so the heat is pretty bad - she is working nights again so that helps.

On a most positive note, she is coming home in August for a couple of weeks - she was trying to surprise me but that didn't work out.  So now I have this to look forward to!  I can hardly wait.

I hope everyone has a great week - Happy Hump Day!

Blondie, sounds like you have experience with all sorts of wedding day chaos!  My daughter is having a civil ceremony in July and then a church wedding in October.  My husband was wanting to drive down in July to take her some household items and be there for the civil ceremony.  She was worried that his parents would feel left out if we attended and they could not.  She wants us all to just wait until October.  I completely understand and told her we'd just do it all in October.  I don't want her to start out on the wrong foot with her new mother in law.

My husband just called me with a puppy update.  Apparently she and Bora pulled my husbands shirt off a chair and were running around with it and also had my stuffed "AL the Octopus" (if you're a Redwings fan you get this) on the floor.  Fortunately Al and the shirt are uninjured.  I want to go home and play with the puppy!

Good morning ladies!  We adopted a new baby into our household last night.  She's a 6 month old shepherd/lab mix named Bambi.  We took Bongo and Bora to meet her and Bora just wanted to play.  Bambi was taken from a home with too many dogs but it's obvious that someone loved on her.  She understands "come", "sit" and "no".  We weren't sure what to do with her last night at bed time, so after giving her a bath she followed me up to the bedroom.  My husband put her up on the bed and she snuggled in and slept between us all night.  This morning she rolled over and gave me her tummy to rub.  Seems like she will melt into our house just fine.

Even better, my sailor called me last night.  She's stressed about wedding plans and got pretty snippy Monday but we talked through it last night.  Whew.

Here's a picture of Bora & Bambi on the way home.  Bora is my sailors dog and will going to live with her in August.

Happy dog looking! You will find the perfect one! Supposed to be 113-120 here starting on Friday, maybe I should run...lol.
Have a great week everyone

Good morning ladies, hope everyone had a good weekend.  It was incredibly hot for here - around 95 yesterday.  Supposed to be hot all week but fortunately it's supposed to cool down a bit on Friday.  That's our Annual Admin Day at the Track so the cooler weather will be appreciated.

Blondie, I thought about you Saturday evening.  My boss gave me an extremely generous gift certificate to a very nice local restaurant where I've set up some company dinners for him.  It was nice to have an expensive meal on someone else's tab!

House still quiet with only 2 dogs.  Chaos may resume tomorrow night as we're going to look at 3 rescues aging from 8 weeks to 2 years.  Will be interesting to see who we come home with.
