Happy Sunday Everyone!!!  I've been so busy this past week I haven't been on here for several days!!!  I have lots to catch up on!!!

Linda,

Sorry that your visit with your girl has ended.  Our time together always seems to go so fast, and the time until our next visit seems to take forever!!!!  So glad that you had some really special times together!!!  And off to Hawaii - - how exciting!!!  I'm glad you got to go back to the gate with her.  I've always asked to go to the gate with my sailors and I've always been able to get a gate pass.  I thought all airlines did that because the gate pass will say - family of service member and is only good for that one time.  I just have to show ID and go through security.

Jappy,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!  What an awesome job.  Best wishes on your future Masters plan!!!  Where do you live in VA??  My son is stationed at Norfolk and I love visiting the whole VB area of that state!!!

Absmom,

I hope you found the answers to your question about first duty station.  It is really all about the billets available (openings) at the time sailors are putting in for orders. And someone mentioned that at the end of A school, those sailors at the top of their class, Sometimes, will get their first choice!!!

Momof4,

Happy to see you again!!!  Hope life gives you the opportunity to drop in and visit more often!!!!  Congratulations to your girl getting San Diego.  That was my one and only duty station and I LOVED it there!!!  It will always hold a special place in my heart!!!

Catsmom,

WOW!!!  So sorry she STILL has to deal with that jerk!!!  I think he is loving drawing this out and jerking her chain any chance he can.  I hope GA throws the book at him and locks him away for a good long spell!!!!!  Of course the lightning strike is a good idea also!!!!!  I sure understand your anger and frustration and you can vent here anytime you need to.  In a strange coincidence, Catherine's ex has contacted both her and me lately trying to get money from her to help pay off his debts!!!!!  When he kicked her out he took over both their joint savings and checking account so all she had to start over with was her next paycheck!!!!  And he thinks we owe him????????????

And Jean,

Hope your daughter had a wonderful baby shower!!!  Love that crib.  Room looks all ready now - - just a few more weeks!!!!!

Andrea,

Hope your girls enjoy their special sister time.

Blondie,

So happy your girl made it home.  Hope you get some quality time with her!!!!

Well I hope I didn't miss anyone's good news!!!!  This will be another busy, crazy week, but I get to see all my kids this weekend.  We're all meeting up at oldest son's in PA and having a bridal shower for Jenn!!!  Today is my girl's 24th birthday!!  They haven't been together for their birthday's since they turned 18!!!!!  It will be a few days late for them this year, but it is close!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.  Will check in when I can!!!!!

Linda, sounds like you had an awesome time with your girl! Wonderful memories made....so exciting as she takes this next step in her adventure---and you of course along with her :-). I agree it's always worth asking at the airport...we never had any luck, but at least we make them tell us "no" LOL

jappyjShip, Woot Woot! Congrats!! You should be proud and we are proud for you!! Best wishes as you continue on with your Masters!!!

Storms all night here...and I'm dog sitting our oldest daughter's dog...she went to spend a week with Rachael for some sister bonding time aka beach time :-) while Dustin is out to sea...I'm a bit sad wishing I was there with both of them since those times are rare anymore. But they needed some time just the two of them, soooo we moms do what we must, right?! And I will get Rach to myself here in a week or so LOL  anyway I digress, her silly dog hates storms so, yup, I was up all night...worse than a child I swear!! LOL

Have a great Sunday ladies!
