DD's HM class chose orders yesterday, she's put in for Portsmouth, VA.  Just about as far away from home as she could, without going international. lol

We've made our reservations at the KOA campground for her graduation in May.  Looking forward to our trip.

Hi Roberta! Boot camp can feel like forever but hang in there.  Do you know when her PIR is yet? What will your sailor be doing in the Navy? I found that writing to my sailor daily was good therapy for me

Welcome Roberta!!  I sent you a personal welcome on your profile page.

Sorry I've been off the group page quite a bit but I have tried to keep up!!!  Healing is going ok - takes so long to do the simple little things!!  However, I'm learning how to walk like normal people do!!  Steps still scare the heck out of me cause I just don't trust the other leg that still wants to give me trouble!!  And getting this quad to function as much as it used to is still a challenge.  I know - - - - baby steps!!!!!

Hope all is doing well and our sailor girls are thriving!!!!

Krikris my daughter is a Nuke and she got 30 days after her final school to report to her new duty station. Her ship was deployed and she was flown out to it a couple weeks later. That's her story . Yours may be different

krikris, Sorry no straight answer. It depends. My daughter finished A school on Friday and went to C school on Monday (same place) It all depends when the next class is classing up. Usually if they are deploying they get a chance to take leave...but that all depends also.  Sorry no direct answers with the Navy.

DD is doing well in A School and seems to be enjoying what she's learning (HM).  She had a couple of allergy attacks while running for PT that really scared her (nothing she's had to deal with before).  Apparently that's what happens to many CA sailors who find themselves in San Antonio (according to the doc).  I suppose to compound matters we come from the dry desert and she really hasn't fully recovered from the crud she had during Boot Camp. They gave her Allegra, Benadryl, & Motrin so she's looking forward to feeling better soon.

We're starting to plan our travel for her graduation in May.  How soon do they get their orders for where they go next?  And how much time will she have between graduation, clearing out her room and having to be wherever?  We'll be driving our truck camper and making a mini vacation out of the week.  Likely hit the road the weekend before her midweek grad.

~~~~Good Vibrations~~~~ to Anna for a speedy recovery.
((Huggles)) to all of you inspiring women.
 Thanks bbcregular. Believe it or not I am better at saying no. then I use to be.  Life just got crazy for 2 months.  With daughter doing her  Practicum here (at my office in Ohio) when I wasn't working/training I was babysitting. (which I didn't mind at all!  precious time with my granddaughter, they live 12 hours away) But with the extra dogs and bad weather... then Navy schedule changes, which are no ones fault, just a way of life here.  Work is work, can't say no.  Hubby's is the same way, we're out of the house by 7:15am and back most nights by 6-6:30.  Not a lot of time for doctor's appointments, service for truck and van or dogs for that matter. We work 6 days a week, grocery and cleaning has to be done on Sundays after Church. add grandbabies....  I did take a bath and shaved my legs!  LOL  I WILL look up that book tho.
B'snukeMoM, Thanks for the update, definitely keeping Anna in my Prayers.
