I’ve been writing daily. In a notebook so I can keep them in order with the date. Mostly just words as if we were talking. Trying to just talk to her. I have some encouraging stuff too and stuff to make her laugh. I have some bible verses to share and prayers for her also. Hopefully she will share with others some of it. I also told her to let me know if anyone wasn’t receiving letters..they all need encouragement during this time.

Three weeks from today, january 1st, my daughter begins her journey. We had her party yesterday despite the snow storm. I put out note cards for people to write her an encouraging note and I will mail them one at a time when I get her address. I also put out blank fabric squares and fabric markers for her guests to create a quilt square for her. I will put them into a quilt that I will bring to her when she graduated. She can take it to A school and throughout hee a navy career.

Raequel, my daughter wrote criptic notes on her form letter and drew us pictures!

I started a letter and just added to it everyday until I got her address. Make sure you number your letters as they don't always get them in order. It's weird without them but we're here for you. We've all been there. Mine is underway right now so my communication is cut off for an unknown time too.

Jaydee I’m hanging in thanks for asking. There are good moments and sad moments. I know I’ll feel better when I get a word from her. And once I get that form letter.

Raquel, glad to see you here! I'm in the Nuke Mom's group too and was going to suggest that you join us moms of Daughters. This is an awesome group with incredible support! We are quiet for awhile then we'll be all chatty.

How are you doing?

Hi ladies, just wanted to introduce myself! My daughter is in bootcamp now. She’s been there just over a week. I’m anxiously awaiting the form letter at this point. I’m looking forward to this journey with her and talking to all of you during it! Thanks in advance for all the support

bbcregular,

Congratulations to your daughter and new son-in-law!!!!  My son had to quickly get married just before he went back in the Navy for his second enlistment.  10 years later they still have good memories of that event!!  Daughter Catherine and I flew to CO to witness the wedding as she was enlisting just 7 months later.  Couple years later they had a formal wedding before friends and family and both hubby, daughter Jennifer and I got to fly back to CO for that one!!!  Now I tease my dil that she made the decision to marry my son - - - TWICE!!!!!  I hope your daughter and her hubby make as many fun memories - beginning in a detention center!!!!!

JayDee,

Hope their plans work out for them!!!
