Kathy,
That's a good question - I wonder if he is visiting the aquarium?!?!?!?!

Good afternoon everyone!! Sitting here watching Penn State football - boys aren't playing all that well so I decided to check in with my navy moms!!
Pat,
I know what you mean about this month going by so fast. It seems like just yesterday it was Halloween and then I left to visit Catherine and before I knew it it was time to come home :(.
Blondie,
My mom's family always had really big Thanksgiving dinners when I was growing up. Now that her and all her siblings have passed away, there is no one in the next generation to carry on the tradition.

Steve and I will just have a little Thanksgiving by ourselves. First year we won't have any of our children around to celebrate with. At least I'm going up to OH to stay with my Jenn for Christmas. Steve will come up for Christmas eve and day but then has to go back to NC for his work.

Pat,
Hope your time to go to San Diego comes quickly for you, but your time there goes slowly!!! There is another mom on the Ohio group page that is going to SD for Christmas. Her and I are going to meet up for lunch when I get up there - before she leaves. Blondie - I'd love to arrange a meet-up with you also since you're not that far away!!! If you have time in your busy, busy schedule!!!

Days are really getting shorter! It is fairly dark out and only 4:30 in the afternoon. It makes the house cool quickly. Before long we will have to start having fires in the wood stove.

Pat, your trip to SD will be here before you know it. Won't it be fun to see Jenn and assess her progress for yourself.

Good morning! Yesterday was a dreary, rainy day but today is beautiful ... sunny and clear. We had two deer grazing on the edge of the garden for a while.

Blondie, you wear me out as usual! My husband has a cousin who entertains like that for Thanksgiving. We are going out with friends. Only down side is that there are no leftovers.

Need to do laundry today. Wish it did itself.

Blondie, I will definitely keep the Navy mom needing brain surgery in my prayers. That is really scary!

KR, alas the suit is not too big but too thin! I don't know why they don't last forever!?! I've ordered a new one. The Marine graduation was definitely impressive and enjoyable. It was made doubly so because I could visit with so many family members while in California.

I am sure that having Bryce at home has been fun for his Mom and Dad. It is rushing by very quickly and before he knows it, he will be returning to Camp Pendleton for combat training. That sounds scary.

Went to Bangor to get the car serviced and to run errances. There was lots to do. It was a dreary, rainy day so we got wet going into and out of stores.

I understand the numbers are coming back. I sure hope so!

Joanne,
Sorry you had a crappy day today. Your comment about the pizza made me chuckle tho!!! I always thought of pizza as comfort food - now I have a whole new way of looking at it!!!!
Take care - hope tomorrow is much better for you!

DC,

I'm so sorry - I forgot to congratulate you on your new Marine!!!!!!

JM, as the Marine moms said, "No news is definitely good news!" Bad news always travels fast. Take lots of pictures so we can see.

Talked to my grandson this evening. He is still hoarse from yelling at BC!

Spent the afternoon trying to set up a new printer for my husband. I had a printer cord that went to a USB port BUT it was not the right one for the printer. Need to get one tomorrow. Luckily we had planned to go to Bangor anyway, My list of things to do there is growing by the moment!

On Tuesday when I went to swimming one of the other ladies warned me that my suit was getting mighty thin backside! So now I'm not swimming until the new one I ordered arrives. I am definitely not an exhibitionist.

Blondie, was that your private e-mail that warned you? I would be concerned and perhaps contact your Internet provider to find out what it means. Do you have Spyware on your computer?

Hello Pam,
Not everyone could use the chat room so we just went back to chatting away here. I didn't think it went anywhere tho' it may just be hidden as newer discussions were added. Check the "view all" link at the bottom of the discussions box and see if it is there.
How is everything going with you?
