spyder,

The knee is the same as it's been all along unfortunately!!  Right now I am "just grinning and bear it".  This winter we are going to spend in Oklahoma and I'm hoping (once again) to encourage the VA to help me!!!!  Thanks for asking!!!

Sounds like you are on the move again. How's your knee? Hope everyone is doing well.

Yes that's the place! As long as you liked what you ate, that's all that matters!

JayDee,

We saw Grandma's Saloon and Grill in the waterfront area but decided to have Mexican food at Little Angie's Cantina instead!!   Was that the same place you mentioned to me??  It was cold in Duluth so we didn't walk around the shops much except to go to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate shop.  Oh and we took the North Shore Scenic Railroad ride!!!!

My daughter is Ship 03, Division 195.  She's PIR on June 23, assuming all goes well.  I'd love to meet.  I'm Linda.

smalltowngirl,

Another new mom on here, SailorsLIMom, has a daughter in Div 195 with a PIR date also June 23.  Maybe you two need to contact each other!!!

SailorsLIMom,

Any word yet from your girl??  Did you receive her form letter yet??

Comment by JayDee659 on June 5, 2017 at 5:19pm

smalltowngirl I was born and raised in Michigan.  Even though my dad's family was in Traverse City and St. Ignace we're lopers.  I hope you can meet up with Anna!

SailorsLimom, when does your daughter have PIR, maybe you and smalltowngirl are in the same group???

My oldest daughter showed up on Friday from college.  She needed some home time to work out a few things.  She goes back this evening.  Just having her these few days has been wonderful and I'll miss her when she goes.  Wishing she could have been home when my sailor was but this is fine too.

My sailor reported to her new duty station today.  They had her fill out paperwork and sent her home for the day.  She has to report tomorrow morning at a specific time, so I hope she enjoys today.  Her husband reported today too, but she never heard from him so she guesses he was put to work.  She's going to call me as soon as she knows when she goes to her ship.  She's hoping she will not be flown out until after their house closing, but you never know.

smalltowngirl,

Talk about a small world!!!  We will be coming to ST Ignace on Saturday and staying until Tuesday night!!  We could meet up for a cup of coffee one of those days and I can chat with you all about being a NavyMom on this amazing, crazy roller coaster ride!!!!!!  I also know a NavyMom from Kingsford and will hopefully get to meet up with her again when we drive down!!!  Hubby and I lived for a short assignment in Marquette a few years back!!!  I also sent you a welcome message on your profile page!!!

I hope you find another mom with a sailor in Div 193.  Did you join the group for recruits having PIR on June 23???
