We have a lot of grand baby waiting going on here, how exciting!
Blondie, do you know when they're going to make a decision? Hopefully soon?
Morning everybody.
Thanks Spyder, we had fun. Everything came down in a day and a half and is now in storage. Pallets go to my friend's barn this weekend. Can you believe our neighbors are already planning for next year?
ShawnMom, have a wonderful trip! Take lots of photos and make tons of memories - they'll get you through when your girl's in bc. Extra stamps are a great idea! I'm not sure there's much else you can send until it's close to picture time and you can send makeup. Maybe a pre-paid visa card? Does anyone remember being able to do that?
Blondie, how was the interview?
Any news on your knee Anna?
Oneofalot- is there a new baby yet?
Did you catch that mole JayDee or is your yard in pieces?
Have a great day ladies : )
Morning all!
And don't do what I did ShawnsMom - send each letter separately. I mistakenly sent all the letters I'd written while waiting for her address in a manila envelope. It was considered a pkg and my girl had to open it in the presence of her Sr Chief. Luckily there weren't any repercussions.
Vent away Anna! I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all this. It's so unfair and unnecessary. Please let us know how the Dr visit goes. Until then we're sending you positive vibes!
JayDee, I saw the Vietnam Memorial years ago. I started weeping just a few feet down the walk - so very powerful. I can't imagine having my brother's name on that wall.
Our temps are still in the 80's but the nights are lovely and 70's are right around the corner, are you getting these cooler temps too Spyder?
Your poor girl Oneofalot, Hopefully by this time tomorrow we'll have good news from you and everyone will be much more comfortable and happy.
Here are a couple pics from Halloween. Daytime really doesn't translate well and night pics don't capture the light show or sound (we blast the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack). We made a dock from the extra pallets and incorporated the garage into a Captain's Quarters, also added waves made from cardboard in tiers on the grass.
Anna I'm sorry to hear that they're giving you such a run around on your knee! You'd think that they wouldn't want to start at the beginning again. I know you must be frustrated. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that they get their heads out of their butts and do the right thing! Keep us in the loop please.
Blondie, how did the interview go?
Oneofalot, isn't funny how waiting another day seems like an eternity? My girls were both late, in fact my first was expected by Halloween and showed up a week before Thanksgiving. Talk about over due.
Good morning Spyder, how have you been? Anything new and exciting in your part of the country?
Shawn's Mom, Anna is right. Number those letters. My daughter got things in weird order and the numbering really helped her. When do you go to DC? I've never been there in the winter, always spring and early fall. Last time I was there I was particularly impressed by the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Both my brothers served there and I saw it right after my brother died. Really hit home.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm going to spend mine doing obedience training with the newest dog. Also may try to help the girls track down the mole that's digging up my front yard. They've been trying hard, but their efforts only further the damage. Ugh.
