Anna, Aurora is doing really well. Talking up a Strom. She isn't to patient with mom and why her sister isn't here yet. Little does she know life will change for her.

JayDee,

You sure are going to be busy in the next couple weeks!!!  Can't wait to see the pics!!!  Love the pics of the two dogs!!  They look like fun!

Oleander,

I'm envious of your hike!!  This year is not much of hiking for us this year, we have been visiting lots of family though so that is great!!  Hope to visit Mt Rainier while we are here!!! Love the picture!!

Oneofalot,

It is so good to hear from you!!!  Sorry to hear work is keeping you so busy, but then I guess that can be a good thing.  Aurora is doing well?

Happy Friday!

Such a sweet picture Blondie! And thank you for sharing the Gary Sinise Foundation information and the write up on Nick. What a remarkable story.

Yay JayDee, I hope the days go quickly til you see your sailor but the hours you have together feel like weeks! Your pups absolutely look like litter mates. Sisters from another Mr, related in a past life? Whatever they look like they're going to be great friends and good company for you. You've got a lot on your plate the next couple of months! Too bad your sister's going to miss out on all the celebrations.

Anna, we hiked Mt Charleston here in NV. I didn't realize how steep it was until we were on the way down, I thought the altitude was what was making it hard to breath lol.  Here's a pic from the trail about 3/4 of the way up to Castle Rock (the peak we climbed). The yellow is a stand of quaking aspen trees, not flowers in a meadow. P.S. my the downhill was hard on my knees too!

Good Morning Everyone. Anna, sorry I've been AWOL. Work has been horrible. All I do is work, eat and sleep. I'll try coming back once a day.

Blondie that's an adorable picture!

Only 3 more weeks until we see our sailor!  Her Power School graduation is set for 10/7 and her wedding 10/8.  Going to be busy.  My sister just called to say she wasn't coming because she's signed up for an Emmaus Walk and they moved hers to the same day as the wedding.  Whatever.

We've had a busy week at home.  We decided to add a second dog to our pack and after some searching we found the cutest little gal who could be our Bambi's litter mate (she's not).  We brought her home Wednesday and everyone seems to be doing fine.  The two of them LOVE playing together and Coco (the new lady) is slowly and painfully learning about the invisible fence.  Thank goodness my husband is still home to help!

Here's a picture of the two (Bambi left & Coco right) relaxing on our sofa.

JayDee,

There is some beautiful country around us all!!!  But don't think I drive that truck, never with the trailer on it!!!!  I'd be over a cliff in a heartbeat!!!!!  Hubby and I do get a chuckle whenever I say "Oh Look at that .  .  .  .  "  and he's gripping the wheel saying NOT NOW!!!!!  Hope we get to see pictures from the wedding next month!!!  And your dress!!!!

Oleander,

Sounds like lots of fun and good memories with your girl!!!!  Where did you guys hike at??  I might have to add it to a bucket list!!!!  We took a short hike while at Snoqualmie Falls from the top of the falls down to the river access.  Sign says we were going to the lower falls but all we saw were rapids so I'm not sure if we missed something.  Trail was only 1/2 mile one way, but it was the equivalent of a 30 story drop going down.  That was the hardest on my knees and I had to hold hubby to keep myself from going down too fast.  Climbing back up was difficult because it was 30 stories up, but it was much easier on my knee!!!  Then there were 3 flights of steps back to the top where the parking lot was!!!!!  It was beautiful though!!!

Great pictures Blondie!!

Hello spyder!!!!
