Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Larkin turns 5 in 2 weeks. I don't know what I'd do in 100+ temps without our swim spa to keep him corralled and happy. Great way to tucker him out too! By the way Blondie -- you "make your own"? Are you telling us you make moonshine in the backyard? lol

I usually go stay at her apartment when she has to go out so I csn take care of my grandson. Luckily the longest she has been gone is about 8 weeks.

MartiB, glad to hear she's on to a better place in life and that she's been supported. I'm sure that was hard on you too. My son is divorced and it's his little guy that's staying with us. When a child's involved it can be complicated for everyone.

I haven't been on here in over a year. My daughter was going through a very nasty divorce and now it is finally over except sh3 still has to deal with him because they have a child. We were afraid that my dsughter being in the Navy would complicate things but I must say, the Navy was very understanding of her situation and were very supportive.

Good news spyder, there are lots of liquor stores in Vegas : ) If you need directions to any just let me know.
My sailor was my last, and a total surprise. I was pretty sure my next life stage would be the change or becoming a gramma. Nope -- Surprise - pregnant at 40. Her sister was 17 and brother 14. When we'd be out together people would always ask my oldest how old her baby was or refer to me as the grandma.I feel your mother's pain JayDee lol
