MommaK, my daughter is in San Diego also. She loves it, hope yours does too. It's a fantastic place to be stationed! Congrats and again, enjoy your time!

Thanks, I plan on enjoying every minute! She is heading from A school in Virginia to the USS Roosevelt in San Diego. She is a CS.

We finally get to see our sailor after 7 months. Due to problems, we didn't get to see her graduate at RTC and she has been at A school since then. She will finally be home in Friday night and we get her for almost 2 weeks! I am beyond excited!!

Trojans12: yup, these ladies are correct! My sailor also had her wisdom teeth removed and in SIQ for 2 days. She also got pink eye in both eyes before battle stations and knew she had to go to medical and was out for 2 days. That was a good thing because she knew she had to be in tip top shape to perform for battle stations(usually I had to fight with her to go to the dr, lol).
The thing of it is, they are OUR girls and we will always worry, no doubt about it! But we've instilled values, morals, respect, dignity, responsibilities, and common sense in them before they left. She's good! Prayers for an eased mind and a calmed heart for you and your family. And for her, strength to endure til the end...and then some :)

Thanks Anna! Hope your travels are going well. She had 1 day off ship last week, the 2nd class for flight deck is tomorrow. She loves it.

Trojans12, I second what Anna said about the short version. My sailor had her wisdom teeth out AND came down with a bronchial infection. Each time she was SIQ for 2 days. I worried until I heard that it was pretty common. Sending her hugs and prayers.

Arwen,

Sorry I can't help with the bra issue, I know my daughter in OCS had decent sports bras.  But it looks like you got some good advice from the other moms!!!

Trojans12,

Is it possible she needs dental work, like wisdom teeth pulled?  And she may just be going to medical two days in a row for something and not having to spend a night!!  Sometimes they don't have time to go into detail so they give us the short version and we're left with the "omg, what's going on??!!"  I hope she is ok and it's just a minor thing!!!  Let us know what you find out!!

Najul,

So sorry for what your girl is having to deal with!!  I will keep her in my prayers and hope she can make it through this difficult time.  Any time they loose a friend at a young age it's gotta be hard!!

Oleander,

So happy your girl got her leave and you two get to visit!!!  Enjoy your time together!!!  How was her firefighting test??

Spyder,

Safe travels for you and have fun!!!  I loved visiting Julian back when we lived in SD.  Missed getting there when we were there last year but hopefully this winter we will make it!!!

Najul, I'm so sorry for your daughter. That would be very tough to deal with but...she will be fine. Prayers for all of them.

Question.. My daughter wrote my husband and said she had to go to medical for 2 days but didn't say why. She doesn't seem hurt or anything, why would one go there for 2 days?
