Prayers Najul! Bless her heart.

tough day, daughter at A school and she just found out that she can't fly home for one of her best friends memorial.  Praying that she can keep it together.  She's so upset to lose someone at such a young age.  He just graduated from college a couple weeks back and she missed it in A school. She's so bummed, please keep her in your prayers.

Arwen - The bras and panties are not good.  Panties are THE DEFINITION of uncomfortable granny panties, they go really high, almost like maternity underwear.  My daughter brought her VS High impact Bra and it came home in the box, she's large chested and it made for uncomfortable running, she was really happy to be back with her undies, bra and bathing suit after PIR.  I suggest bringing a backpack with a few things.  People told me she'd have trouble carrying it, but she said it was worth it and carried it on to her plane.  My only suggestion is to wear two bras, it's not a very supportive Bra that they give them.

Her home port is Washington...she is no longer active duty as of January...but can be called up for 4 years, I think.

Safe travels spyder!  Not a bad drive, I actually came to love it after all the years.  Have a great time and win win win : )

btw- is your daughter deployed now or did her ship move?

Blondie - forgot to say congrats on the new chair and lovely lunch! (can't believe after all those unappreciated days of hard work that bottle of wine had a drop left in it!). Hope you enjoy your new chair & every time your boss lady sees is she remembers how much you're worth.

Morning everybody!

Arwen - yep, sports bra. Everything that goes with them to boot camp will come home in a box or they can donate their clothes. That's what my girl did. She wore old clothes and shoes she no longer wanted. The only thing that came back was a small package with her backpack and phone. Wishing your daughter all the best!

LOL Blondie -- the granny pants! Oh My goodness - when my daughter modeled them for me we laughed so hard!

Good news, her leave is approved, woop woop! 3 more days and I'll go pick her up in San Diego, have dinner together, spend the night and drive home. We love road trips, and why spend all those wasted hours in the airport when we could be girl talking in the car? : )

spyder - are you packed? It was 111 degrees all weekend but temps are dropping way down to 108 while you're here. LOL

Arwen my daughter had the exact same issue.  She tried taking her own sports bras in black and white solid but they came back in the box.  She made it through boot camp but I think that occasionally she wore two bras when they had to run.  The bras had some support being sports bras but not awesome support like you'd get from VS high impact line.  I will say that after PIR she took a shower at our hotel and was truly excited to put on her own underwear and bra!

Good luck to your daughter.  No, the bras won't be the best but I'm pretty sure if my daughter can find a way yours can too.
