roliesmom,

So glad to hear from you.  Glad your girl is enjoying VA.

Thanks for your kind words and prayers.  My first PT appointment is Friday.  I'm hoping for a brace and a cane so I can stop the dang crutches!!!!

Hi everyone, it's been awhile. I haven't been getting email updates from this group. I've been very busy, I started homeschooling my high schooler. I could go on for days about that reporting process, lol.
My daughter is doing great in Virginia. Hopefully I will be able to see her in January when we go to South Carolina for my son's Army graduation.

Anna, so sorry to hear about your knee. Something similar happened to me years ago. And as I read your story I cringed in pain with you, that is a pain you never forget, so many, many prayers dear one. The best thing the dr ever gave me was a brace that (hurt like heck to get on) had metal plates on the sides. It helps to stabilize the knee and reduce swelling, sure I felt like I had a bionic leg (lol) but the metal helped tremendously.
Hope you get better soon!

Oleander,

Wonderful news that she made it home!!!  And after some good rest in her own bed Momma will be able to pamper her and she'll be feeling 100% soon!!!! Enjoy your time with her!!

Arwen,

I've seen you here and there on N4M for years!!  So glad you stopped in here to say HI!!  When were you and your husband stationed in southern CA.  NASNI is where I met my hubby and I were stationed.  I have a son who enlisted in 2003 and is still serving, a veteran daughter, and an officer daughter. She did OCS after graduating from college.  What does your daughter want to do?  I don't have a lot of info about NROTC - just enough to be dangerous!!!!  LOL

Hi everyone!

Thanks Anna and Blondie - she made it home! Got out of work 3 hours later than expected and pretty tired after working 12/12's and having strep. Thankfully the meds kicked in and she got some good rest in her own bed. Puppy and family very happy all weekend :-)

So glad to hear you got your letter JayDee. Her PIR is right around the corner - you can almost hold your breath that long! Yipeee!

Arwen, I'm one of those moms you mentioned, we aren't a military family so having my girl head off to bc was intense! But this is such a great group of ladies, full of support and knowledge no matter what our experience, so welcome!

Have a great Sunday all!

Good morning to Everyone.

Hello everyone. My daughter is NROTC, newly entered college, and I'm feeling the clueless blues. The rest of our family was enlisted, and it's all we know. We want to help her, but there's no boot camp advice to give, or promotion advice. The officer world is foreign to us, and I'm feeling weird about it. I guess now I know how moms who didn't serve feel when their kids head off to boot camp.
