Good morning.

Blondie Hugs his and more hugs! Hope you get back to a regular schedule for talking to your girl. And you deserve a weekend away! Go relax and enjoy!

Snyder enjoy your time with your girl! I know you will. And stay safe on the 10!

Oleander, hugs to you and your girl. Praying it gets better, and she gets the respect she deserves! Good you are close and can see her often.

Anna, hope you enjoyed the new restaurant. And work is about the same. The women that work there don't want to budge, and do anything they don't see as " their job" I keep trying!

Jean, hope all is well for you. Hope your weather is better

Some fires burning around here, hope they get them out soon. Started by lightning. We had about 5 minutes of rain. More in the mountains, but still 101 plus temps.
Have a good day everyone.

spyder,

So happy you get to see your girl in a couple days!!!!  How's everything going for her these days?

Oleander,

OK, so I know that I just got to see all my kids and we did go to the beach for a little bit (weather wasn't nice tho) but I'm jealous that you get to go to SD to visit with your girl!!!!!!  I LOVE that city and I want to go back so bad!!!!!!  I need one of my Navy kids to get stationed there!!!!!  So happy you had a visit with your girl and a surprise one at that!!!  I forgot to mention that when the hubby and I were visiting Hoover Dam and that area, we drove though Laughlin!!  I have a picture of the sign at the intersection just outside the city!!  Really pretty area!!

Catsmom,

How's the job going?  Sorry your weather is so hot and dry.  Praying you don't have anything to spark fires somewhere.

Jean,

How's your weather treating you out there?  And how is your new job going?

Off to go to lunch at a restaurant on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.  I've traveled that stretch of roadway a few times, never knew there was a restaurant on it!!!  Learn something new everyday!!!  Have a great week everyone!!

Oh Blondie! - lots of ((hugs)) coming your way! You're always so positive and supportive for all of us. Sending that back to you in spades!

Still rough going for my girl - lots of problems with the ship and though she's gaining respect the games continue. She gets worn down and emotional. I think that's why she needed a 24 hr break last weekend - even the drive was a welcome relief. Hoping this weekend we can bring some of her smiles back.

I know we're incredibly fortunate right now and am not taking one minute for granted. I'll definitely share the good times and know I'll be grateful hearing all about yours when my girl is far away. So thankful that you're all out there.

Really hot here too Catsmom, 104 - 105+ for the next few days. Weatherman says it'll start to cool down next week - fingers crossed for both of us!

Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope it's a good one!

Hellraiser, love the picture! So happy you had time with your girl!

Blondie, enjoy your family!

100 here yesterday, and going to be hotter today! I am so ready for cooler weather, and praying for rain! Everything is so dry, hope we don't have any fires! I can't believe Justin is 2 months old! He is getting so big. Crystal has been sending me videos, and lots of pictures.
Have a good day everyone. Halfway through the week..LOL

Hi all!

Anna I'm so glad you were safe! That can be very scary. Grateful it wasn't worse!

We had a wonderful, unexpected visit from our daughter this weekend! Total surprise and we made the most of every minute! Plus very excited for this coming weekend, we'll visit her in SD -- beach, beautiful weather, beautiful daughter! Can't wait.

Curlyq, I had a few of those calls too but our girls are amazingly strong! Before you know it PIR will be here for you and she'll be so proud of all her accomplishments and so happy to see you!

Great pic hellraiser!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Thank goodness you are all right Anna! Must have been scary. Glad kids didn't all leave at once and you still have more memories to make. I get to see my daughter for 3 days next week...Yippee!

Sounds good Jean!!!!

hellraiser,

Wonderful picture!!!  So happy you had a good visit!!

Marti_B,

Hope you have a wonderful visit as well!!!

Blondie,

Enjoy your visits with everyone!!!

Curlyq,

Spyder is right - it can't come soon enough!!!  Hang in there and continue to encourage your girl and let her know how darn proud we all are!!!  (Which I know you do!!!!!)

Had to say goodby to oldest son, dil, and youngest granddaughter yesterday morning and then youngest daughter yesterday afternoon!!!  And yes, I still stood there and cried like I'd never see them again!!!!  But I should get to see all of them in December when Catherine graduates from PSU!!!!  Next to leave is oldest daughter, on Saturday and then we'll have to say goodbye to middle son, dil, and oldest granddaughter next Monday!!!

Right now we have our trailer in a shop getting some repairs done.  We blew a tire on the way to Norfolk and it completely shredded.  When it did, it tore out hydraulic lines to the jack system!!!  What a mess!!  But thank God it wasn't worse than that, we had a spare and changed the tire along the side of the highway, no other damage was done and we didn't have an accident when the tire blew!!!!  I am grateful!!!!
