I got a call from my daughter Saturday morning. This one was tough.  She sounds good and passing her tests, but she got very emotional and didn't want to get off the phone.  Ughhh...PIR can't come fast enough.

Happy Sunday everyone and Happy Labor Day!!!  I'm sitting here at my son's place in VA and we have all the kids and grandkids here!!  Only new son-in-law, David, could not be here with us as he is on deployment at the Air Force fire training school until the end of November!!!  It is noisy, busy lots of commotion, but tons of laughter!!!  And I wouldn't want it any other way!!!  Yesterday I took ALL my daughters to a nice restaurant right on the beach and we had a wonderful time and made some great memories.  I'll try to get a picture up later.

Catsmom and Jean,

So sorry your week was so hard.  I hope you get some good rest this weekend and next week is a little easier for you.  Of course that may be a little challenging for you Jean as you put that new roof on your house.  Hope it goes smoothly for you.  Been there, done that years ago.  I don't envy you!!

Andrea,

Beautiful picture of baby Nathan and the two uniforms!!  Showcases the joining of a little family - priceless!!!!   Enjoy your visit with Rach and Nathan.  And congratulations to the new CPO!!!  Chris takes his test for the first time in January!!!

Mamabear,

Even if you can't check in as often it's always good to hear from you.  We are a caring Navy family - I think of each of you as sisters!!!  I sit on the shoulders of all the NavyMoms that helped me out when my sailor was gone and having a rough time.  Always proud to pay it forward.

Is your girl at A school now?

Angelmomma and hellraiser,

So happy you will both get to visit with your girls soon!!  Enjoy every moment!!!

MartiB_TX,

Sounds like hubby and I - we've been full-time living in our 5th wheel and spent the year traveling all over the western US.  Last count was 20 states.  We're in Norfolk right now and will head to FL in about a month or so for a winter-over location!!!  We visited Glacier when the East Entrance was closed due to the Reynolds Creek fire.  Still lots to see and do and I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did.  Will you be stopping in Yellowstone also?

Welcome Barbara and our other new members.  Will be sending you a personal message on your page!!!  Have you heard from your girl?  How is she doing?

Have a fantastic weekend one and all.

Good morning. My family is up and heading to San Antonio To see our baby girl. Last week wasn't enough. PIR went by fast. Then spent all day in airport with her. She has on base liberty so we decided to go and spend the day so she's not lonely. Hope everyone has a blessed day!
