Marti_B,

My hubby's brother lives in Austin.  Not too far from you.  Yes, TX got hit pretty bad recently too.  Jenn is my officer daughter attached to a squadron at Tinker Air Force base in Moore, OK.  What else would the Navy be doing in OK?????  David is her brand new husband having just gotten married the 28th of February.

BaileysMom,

How true!!  Here one day, gone the next.  We went to Norman to visit Jenn back in December and you could still see where they were rebuilding big chunks of Moore and Norman.  I feel for the people who live there!

Catsmom,

I'm so sorry to hear that he's putting crazy a$$ demands on Crystal so he doesn't have to lift a finger.  I sure hope he wakes up fast once the baby comes!!!!  Keeping her in my prayers.

cc2014,

How exciting for your girl.  Are the wedding plans all in place???  Blondie's daughter is also getting married soon, not sure which one will be first!!!!  And I just put up pictures from my daughters wedding a week or two ago!!!

Yosemite was awesome!!!  We are so tired though.  Our campground is quite a ways away but we took a public transportation bus to the visitor center.  Walked to the Lodge to rent bikes, biked just over 3 miles to El Capitan.  Climbed up, who knows how far, to get to the base of the sheer granite face, took pictures of hubby free climbing about 20 feet up (just enough to say he climbed it) and then had to bike back!!!  I am so sore!!!  Soup and sandwiches for dinner, tylenol pm, and bedtime!!!!!  But it was worth it!!!!  There is so much more to do but it is so spread out we had to pick the major ones we could do.  We did bike past the Yosemite Falls, and saw the half dome!!!

Blondie, it will all come together. Hugs.

BaileysMom, our girls are strong amazing women. Proud of all of them! Would love to see pics too.

cc2014, welcome, how exciting another wedding!

Spyder, I am so over being boss..LOL playing boss tomorrow...LOL.

So I spoke to Crystsl, her loser husband wants her to drive 8 hours to her home by herself! To take things home and pick him up for her graduation! Hello she is due July 31! And yes she is going to do it! I am worried sick, no matter how much I try to explanation the many reasons not to do it, she is! Please pray for her and a safe trip. She graduates on June 3rd. I can't belive what a POS he is. He can take the bus to her and drive her home! But no...

Hi,

I am new to this group.  My daughter Sydney joined the Navy in September straight out of high school.  She is stationed in Jax with a Seahawk Squadron.  She is also getting married in 2 weeks and all of the wedding planning has been long distance as we live in NC.  Her future husband has signed a contract to be a rescue swimmer and will be going in in September.  It is nice to hear about other moms with daughters in the Navy.
