Good Morning Everyone!!!

K1,

When my daughter left for bootcamp I didn't even know there was a form letter coming and in fact I never got one.  However, I contacted her recruiter just after she left and he got me her ship/div number and her address.  Once I started getting letters from her I learned when her graduation was.  This was all pre-N4Ms.  Now I know that if you don't get the letter her recruiter can still get the ship/div info and then you can go to the RTC website and find out when graduation is.   I'm sorry your ex is creating such a difficult situation.  I too believe your daughter will come around to seeing what's going on.  Stay strong and come here often - we can give you support, a shoulder to lean on, and a safe place where you can vent!!!  The Navy life isn't always an easy one - especially on us Moms!!!  It is a roller coaster ride for sure!!!  But we also love to brag on our sailor girls and are just so dang proud of them!!!!  I will be keeping you and your daughter in my prayers!!!  Sending cyber hugs {{{ . . }}}

jappyj,

Happy you got to spend time with your girl!!!!  I'm sure you had lots of fun!!!

I feel bad for all those people in the Northeast having all this bad weather.  I gotta say - I am so happy we left Wisconsin!!  I think I finally found warm and sunny!!!

I got to hear from my sailor son the other day.  They left the one area where they were keeping watch and now went to another area to keep an eye on!!!!  He assures me he is staying safe!  With that kid I have to make him swear he won't go volunteering for crazy stuff!!!!  They had a port visit cancelled so I know they are all keeping an eye on things!!

Well, that's all for now!!  I have to go get ready for my date with spyder!!!!  I am so excited to get to meet her!!!!

K1- I had the same situation when both my sailors went thru boot camp.  During boot camp they both realized what their dad was doing and have come around.  I do not currently have a relationship with my youngest daughter who lives with her dad.  She asked me not to come to her HS graduation and I often wonder if she chooses the military like her brother and sister what that will hold for me.  Just write everyday! In the end what comes around goes around

K1... I have an ex that has done everything in his power to destroy my relationship with my kids. It has been extremely difficult. They will in time see him for what/who he is. Stay strong and do what you need to do to get the information for graduation. My advice is to be supportive no matter ho hard he makes it. Do what you need to do. 3 of my 4 kids will not have anything to do with him because they finally saw the reality.

Good morning everyone,

K1, Hugs. I have an ex, he tried to turn my girl away from me, it didn't work. Just be supportive of her. Don't say anything bad about him to her. She will see and come around. Go to her graduation,

Jean, how fun. Give Anna a hug for me! You will have so much fun. Yes pics please! :-)

Jean please send rain down this way. We are back in the 80's :-(

Good Morning to Everyone.

Sorry K1, I don't have a ex husband only a husband. Like spyder said call the recruiter. That is how we got our daughters info because it went to my sister instead of us. They will be able to help you a lot.

We are still in a rain mess today. It looks like we will actually have some sun for a day this week. YEA!!.

Spyder, I am doing the happy dance for you!! Enjoy your time with Anna.  Send pictures.

You can contact her recruiter for info. Keep taking the high road ~ she will probably come around eventually. She knows all you have done and she knows who truly has been there for her.
Good Morning everyone! I get to meet "our" Anna today...lol!

Sorry, tried to edit my tired brain thoughts but don't know how. Her father is the one who didn't want her joining but is now trying to be so overwhelmingly supportive. Its making me sick because I spent the last five years supporting her and volunteering as an admin at her seacadet unit every other weekend to help her prepare for where she is today... His mom passed away this past summer and he is using that to guilt the girls into spending time with him and worrying about his feelings. With this being said she told me that she would be calling him when she was given the chance to make calls. I haven't gotten "the letter" yet and I am afraid she may have sent it to him instead. He may not relay the info to me :-/ I have ALWAYS taken the high road...its killing me. If I don't receive the letter, is there a way I can get the graduation info?

Hello All!!! I have a strange question. Do any of you have an ex husband, that constantly tried to make you look like the bad parent, who was against their child joining the military then once they joined and were sworn in the pompas butt head acted like the proudest most supportive parent on the face of the planet?
