Good Morning to Everyone.

Anna it sounds like fun. At least you left before the big snow storm hit back east. Still very wet. The wind will be coming tonight and stay VERY windy until Saturday night. We are getting a lot of flooding in areas. The mountains are losing the only snow they got this year. We are in the lower 50 were we should be in the low 40. Very weird weather. Everyone stay safe. Anna, drive safe and enjoy the sites.

splash,

My hubby retired early December and we are now living full time in our 5th wheel RV traveling around the country.  We left Wisconsin, visited with Navy Mom Andrea and then headed to Oklahoma to spend Christmas with our daughter- the one who did the survival training.  We got stuck there for a few extra weeks while getting some repairs to the trailer, and now we're heading to San Diego for same daughter's wedding on Feb 28th!!!  After stopping by and getting a chance to visit with Navy Mom spyder!!!!  And looking forward to seeing Navy Mom Catsmom again in CA!!!!!  If I do this right I should be going from one Navy Mom to another!!!

Forgot to mention, I had lunch with about 20 Navy Moms in Oklahoma!!!!!!

Anna...the woods of Maine in the winter. I can see why you lost weight! Someone told me about the rabbits. It would be hard for me too. Where are you driving from?

Sounds like you are making great time heading west;). Keep it up! Lol. Safe travels.

Well we are here in Deming, NM!!  Very interesting driving across this state.  Stayed in Roswell the last two days, went to the alien museum.  Very interesting.  Driving across it's such desolate, dry, very little vegetation, desert setting.  Then we start climbing and next we have pine trees and snow on the ground.  Then back down the other side and desert with cactus!!!  Always something to see!!!  Luckily we left Roswell right in time for really cold temps moving in there!!  Another couple days and we'll be near you spyder and then out to San Diego!!  I see northern CA is expecting rain.

Jean, I hope your high winds settle down.  Rain is ok as long as it's not accompanied by high winds!!

Catsmom,

Enjoy your day off!!  And early Happy Birthday greetings!!!  Love that beach picture.  I hope I get some time to stroll on a beach or two!!!!

Splash,

Good for your daughter!!  There must be something in her future to warrant this specialized training!!  It's hard not to worry about our kiddos, no matter how old they get.  I lost 5 pounds worrying when my daughter had survival training in the woods of Maine last winter!!!  She still has a hard time looking at rabbits!!!!!  Will be keeping your girl in my prayers for successful, safe training!!  Let us know how she does.

Keep safe everyone!!!

I live so close to Camp Pendelton. Hear them all the time.

spyder we need to figure out how to do that. Hot here too.
Comment by splash on February 4, 2015 at 4:21pm

My daughter is going to Camp Pendelton for a week for training with the Marines. she called is FEX (field exercise) she told me that her posisition for the week is advance placement. She said she will be sitting in a hole with a gun (fake ammo) out in the desert. They gave her a tent and some ohter equipment.  Does  anyone else have a daughter that did this?   Of course I am a worried momma.
