Thanks ladies, she is at peace with God.

Blondie, sounds like you've been busy, as always.  The rains of the last week have been brutal.  A local town got 10" in 4 days, just crazy.

Oleander, my SIL was at Fleet Week in Florida.  The local news even did a tour of his submarine (he was not on it at the time).  I'd love to go to one sometime!

Hi everyone!

I'm so sorry to hear about Shelby JayDee! Sending all the family prayers for peace and comfort in the knowledge that she's no longer in pain.

Blondie - are you sure you aren't 10 people??? How do you do it!?!

My sailor's ship went underway for the 1st time since deployment a couple of weeks ago. She's now the super of the shop (and it's all men!!!). Better yet, she's coming home this weekend!!! Can't wait for that hug : )

I was in NY over Memorial weekend Anna - we were in the city and got to tour the Intrepid where our daughter and son in law had an event. It was Fleet Week so we got to see tons of sailors all over the city -- it was awesome!

Hot hot and very hot here in the desert - 107 today. I think I'll close the shudders and hide.

Hugs to my Navy mom friends!

So sorry to hear about your great niece, JayDee.  Condolences to her brave family, who gave her such love and support.  I hope her wish that future suffering might be alleviated because of her, may come true.

JayDee - I was heartbroken to hear about Shelby.  There is comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain.  What a brave battle she fought.  Please send my condolences to her family.

Prayers Molly and to all our daughters out there making this a better place.

I feel as I'm treading water here.  Life doesn't get any easier as we get older.  With baby showers, Bridal showers, 2 wedding and 4 weeks to go before next grandbaby is born, throw in Memorial day and 4th of July and my nephew was home from Air Force for 1 weekend....I'm in a state of exhaustion!  My Husband's employer is closing the doors this Friday!!  Yes, we went thru this last year, but 2 people thought they could keep this 150 year old business going so my Hubby, the nice guy that he is stayed on..... One of the owners died the other's wife got pregnant with their 6th child.  Money situation failed so Business will close.  :)  Luckily I seen the writing on the wall and we started job searching about a Month ago.  He had already had 2 job interviews and an offer by the time they told him. They gave him a whole 10 days notice that's counting the weekend.  Throw in the yard work and gardening, my paying job and house work, bad weather (tornedos and flooding) trying to shuffle everyone's vacations at work  I have my hands full.   And I still found time to see my pregnant daughter and help finish the nursery 3 times in the last 2 weeks and she lives 1 and 1/2 hours away.  So patting myself on the back for still standing (no matter how painful, not keeping up with my therapy or decompression BUT doing the best I can!)

You ladies are always in my heart and Prayers.

God Bless America and our Military.

Anna, the washer and dryer are doing well!  Come by any time and give them a whirl!  I have found that even though all my bedding fits in a once, it's not necessarily a good idea to do that.

My great niece passed away last Saturday.  As you may recall she was diagnosed March 2018 (at the age of 17) with leukemia but it ended up that she had 4 different kinds of cancer.  In the end her body couldn't do it anymore.  After a horrible week or being mostly unconscious, she told her father that she was done, to stop everything.  She had hoped that they could learn something from her to help another in her situation, but the side effects were too much for her to bear.  In fact, I'm amazed she put up with some of it as long as she did. Her father has decided to have the funeral on Father's Day so it's been a quiet week waiting for the funeral and interment.

Molly’s Mom
So sorry about your loss. Prayed God’s comfort and peace for you and family.
Wonderful HS graduation and PIR! A time to be a “Proud Mom” indeed! Happy to read that Molly is enjoying A school and already thinking of the Navy as her career.
We are gettin ready to travel out west this winter. Will be near Phoenix for 3 weeks before heading to Palm Springs, CA.
Sailor daughter doing great in Oahu, HI. Bought her first car, rented her first Apartment, adopted a kitty and just adulting on her own. The Navy seems to be doing a better job at raising an adult than I did. Lol. Her time in SK and the failed short marriage has made her look at life in a different way.
Everyone enjoy your summer adventures and hope you get time with your daughters soon.

Hey everyone!! Hope you are all doing well.  Hubby and I are still traveling the country.  Sometimes we don't have internet but that's to be expected. We are in the middle of New York right now.

Molly's Proud Mom,

It sounds like you have a lot going on right now!!  Sorry about your mom's situation.  Take care of yourself - sounds like many people need you!!  Getting rest is a good thing!!  Will you  be able to attend Molly's PIR??

JayDee,

How's that new washer dryer doing???  I might need someplace to do some laundry!!!!  ha ha!!!
