Hello again!
I am going to the wedding!! We fly out on Thursday! I am just wishing I could have planned the wedding and made it special. It will just be my hubby and me and the groom's mom and aunt. Very small wedding! She even texted me that she didn't want flowers!?! My hubby looked on line for a florist nearby and is going to order at least something!!
Now I just need a second job to pay for the next trip out there when the baby comes. (He will likely be deployed when she has the baby!?!)
Thank you for the well wishes! I feel better now that I have said it out loud (written it) lol.
Blondie,
Congrats to your daughter. Can't wait to see pics!!
Emmie,
Congrats to your daughter also!! So sorry you can't be there with her right now! Can someone record the event for you! Or Skype so you can be a part of the ceremony!!! Wishing all the best for the sole to be newlyweds and the future family!!!
Spyder,
Enjoy this time with your girl!!!! And enjoy all those special new memories!!!! Hope to see some pics!
Well Jenn's flight was cancelled because of problems with the plane. NO idea yet what she does next. NOT happy right now.
Emmie, Congrats to your sailor girl on her impending marriage and baby on the way..how exciting!! My hubby and I met during his first station knew each other 6 months when we got married...had our first child 10 months later didn't meet his family till she was 18 months old LOL and we just celebrated our 29th anniversary! Wishing them many happy years together! I know it's hard to not be there...can they skype, facetime, video the ceremony??
Spyder, Have a great time and safe travels...feel free to post some pics would love to see your happy smiles!! :-)
Blondie, YAY!!! Finally official!!! Can't wait to see the pics...and so not nice of the hubby to tease you like that..I think I would have purchased a ticket before hubby could finish his sentence then joke would have been on him LOL please pass on my congratulations!!
Anna, as always continued prayers for our Jenn! Thinking about her right now as she takes to the skies and completes this phase! I have no doubt she's got this!!!
Kaitsmom, hang in there!! ((HUGS)) you'll get that phone call or letter and life will be good again ;-) it's the little things now that make us the happiest...and how we now take nothing for granted, amazing isn't it?!
Catsmom, hope your day goes well...and remember it's 5:00 somewhere so...cheers! LOL
Have a great day ladies!!
Good Morning All!!
I have sooo enjoyed all the things that each of you posts!!! I love living this Navy Mom life through you ladies! I pray for each of you and your daughters and I cry when stuff gets tuff!! lol
But I could use some prayers.... My sailor girl met a marine on her last deployment. They started dating in February 2014. He gave her a promise ring in May... He asked my hubby and I for permission to marry her (called us in June 2014)....They are getting married on Sat. 9-13-14 in San Diego. We haven't met him but have talked on the phone some and texted. I didn't get to plan a wedding (great to not have the stress but sad to not get to do the traditional things) Then on Labor Day weekend she calls to say she is pregnant! Talk about rushing a bit! I am very excited for all the new adventures for her and her young man, but I am wishing I had more cash flow to visit her and be a part of these new adventures!
Anyway, I just wanted to share since I soo love reading what all your sailor girls are doing. Please think about me this weekend as I meet him and his mom for the first time.
God's blessings on everyone's day!!
Emmie
Good Morning to Everyone.
Caysmom, hope she gets what she deserves. Some people are not suppose to be in positions like that and she sounds like one of them. Kaitsmom, Sorry about you not hearing anything from your daughter. Those first few weeks are hard. I loved that first letter I got from her. I still have it and it has been over 5 years. I will get better. It usually take about 2 weeks before they get a letter out.
If crying helps you cope then go ahead and let those tears flow!!! They are tears of love, support and pride for our sailors!!!
For some good news - one hurdle down, two more to go. Jenn passed her boards today. Tomorrow is her all important final flight!!! Please keep her in your prayers that all goes well. No cancellations!!!!! And that she passes with flying colors!!!! pun intended!!!
