Thank you for the info Zenda. I am anxious to hear from him! Is your son in BC?

So great to meet you all and hear a little about your divers!!

LedaB...our son is 18 years old. He had just turned 18 about two months before bc. You should be getting his 'form letter' pretty soon with a very short note on the back.

lyndahl....congrats to your son!!! Our son will be closer to home also. About 8 hours instead of 20...haha!!! So ready to go and see him!!!

Ok so our boy left for BC a week ago. We received a phone call and "the box". When will we get his address?

My navy diver just turned 27 in January. There are a number of new divers that are age 25 and over.

My navy diver will be 26 in April. He's one of the older ones.

Thanks for the information. Do you min if I ask how old everyone's boys are? Mine just turned 19 a few weeks ago.

Yes, they will go "across the street" for 6-8 weeks of dive prep (I forget the actual length of the course) and then to Second Class Diver Training in Panama City.

After a hard 3 months my Son graduates dive prep today also!  So proud of him and his "can do" attitude.  He has grown so much during his time in GL.  I am soooo looking forward to him coming back to FL, he'll only be a few hrs away now!

Congratulations to your son!! I know you are proud! My son left for BC on Monday. He didn't get to call until the following night. So am I correct in assuming after PIR he will stay in great Lakes for additional training ten off to Panama City?

Congrats Zenda. Then it's off to Panama City!!  And it will be just a litle bit warmer ther. :)
