my son's dive class made it on the news today.  Can I post the link here? Does anyone know if that is allowed?  I'm so proud of him.

He will be up there for another 70 days. He saw snow for the first time on his graduation day LOL. Thank y'all so much for the advice. :)

Zenda-I remember that happening to our sailor, too. It was incredible to see the outpouring of respect and kindness conveyed to them. I am glad your son got to go to Great Lakes in the summer/fall. Our son left Dec. 14 and graduated the end of February. It was brutally cold(and I am originally from Vermont so I know cold.)

Inaipaul is right about the the protein bars. I also sent Gatorade in granular form and they would add that to the large water containers :)

Thank you Bensmom & Inaipaul. I will pass that information on to him. We were up in Great Lakes for his graduation this past Thursday and was able to spend Veterans Day with him....it was the BEST!!! I would tear up every time someone would come up and shake his hand and thank him for his service. Didn't matter where we were, they would come up. It was a very proud moment for us all. :)
