Dolores-that is great! Maybe they know each other?
Comment by Bensmom on October 28, 2011 at 8:54pm

dolores-he is at NAS Jacksonsville

Inaipaul-thanks for your feedback. My son has been diligent in pursuing this matter on a daily basis. He even had his chief with him at PSD. The problem is one civillian there who says she has taken care of it(kind of like "the check is in the mail" story). He asked for written confirmation and she could not give him any.  Even the CO has been involved. Supposedly' he will get all his back pay, etc. on Nov. 16th. We will see how it goes. The bonus is probably similiar to your son's. We will wait until the 16th to see how it goes. Thanks!

Bensmom, my son has not gotten his bonus yet cause someone put the wrong graduation date. I know my son had some trouble. There someone on base that can help them. I was on my sons back every week to check on status od his payroll. You know how men are they need a woman to push them lol. I made my son bug someone every week until they fixed his paycheck. He needs to be persistent .

Has anyone whose son has graduated from Dive School had their son's pay messed up? My poor son got to his first duty station in Jax 6 wks ago and has not had a correct paycheck yet. We had to wire him money twice because of it. The wonderful dive community there has been very helpful, but it seems the larger fleet can't fix it. It is very frustrating for our diver.

Does anyone know if there is a facebook page for dive school in Panama?
Comment by Bensmom on October 21, 2011 at 3:18pm
@Cranny, yes, my son is a new diver. He graduated from Dive School on 8/29/11 in PC and is now in Jacksonville Fl for the next 3 years. He is also working on getting his dive qualifications and finishing his college degree. I cannot stress how much the instructors in dive school work so hard to make them the best divers they can be. They are very tough on them but, it shows in the end. Congrats!
