Txmom - my son failed his first test where he had to tread water with 2 tanks but the instructor gave him another chance so he meditated and prayed that night and passed. Once the intructors see something in them they will work with them. Its a very tough program. My son did alot of meditation. Will keep him in my prayers. My son had a guy in panama city that was rolled back about three times until he made it through dive school. He was soooo determined and the intructors worked very hard with this diver. It all boils down to the determination that they see in each young man. I hope this helps cause I prayed alot for my son . I definetly know what you are going though we all dive moms have been there. Cranny  Congratulations to your Sailor!!  Off to new advantures.

Txmom  My son was rolled back also with his dive partner and they made it to Panama City and beyond.  I really believe they would not roll them back if they didn't think they could do it.  Your Sailor is now better prepared and knows whats ahead of him.

Good luck to both and please keep us informed.

Bensmom- thank you so much for your kind words. I will indeed be making several trips to Panama while he is there. I have heard that it is awesome and can't wait visit. Is your son a diver?

Txmom- he will get it next time! These guys are so amazing just to make it this far. I know how disappointed he must be but you tell him to keep his head up! He knows what it is all about now....this just gives him time to become stronger and more confident. Thanks for all your prayers and I will continue praying for your son.

txmom-Congrats to your son, too. To get rolled back is still an honor, as they see great potential in him to roll him back to try again. His determination will help him become a great diver. It all takes time! Good luck!

My son didn't pass but he did get rolled back to the next class.  He is very determined that he will get it this time around.  Thank you for your prayers today.  Congratulations Cranny.

Congrats to you and your future diver, Cranny! God bless each and every one of those sailors who made it TO Dive Prep! To be selected to try out for Dive Prep is outstanding in itself. Each one of them deserves a huge pat on the back.

Cranny, I hope you get to visit Panama City and Dive School there. It is top-notch!

I want to say "Thank you" to everyone for the prayers this morning for all the sailors that were going through their final testing in pool week this morning. My son passed! I am just so thankful! Some did not and for that my heart aches. I know how hard they all have worked. Please let's keep them in our prayers!

@Cranny and txmom-I know exactly how you are feeling! Thoughts and prayers for both sailors! One of the toughest spots of becoming a diver. Hooyah!

The same happend with my son, his dive buddy was rolled back on Tuesday. I'm going to be a nervous wreck all day waiting to hear from him, but I am keeping them all in my prayers.

Thank you richsmom!
