My son has 2 more months of Dive School and then he gets his first duty station. I have not idea where that will be at this point. Do they get to pick three places where they would like to be near the end of Dive School. He is finally out on the water diving. My son finished his PIR the end of Feb. Where is your son at in his career?

Hi JapanMom, Congrats on your son graduating from Dive school tomorrow. Does he know where he is going?

hello everyone, it has been awhile since I have been on.  My son graduates from Dive school on Monday.  It has been a roller coaster but worth it.  I have changed my name from Andrew's support to JapanMom as my second son just left for bootcamp yesterday.

hi mamasan,

yes, PC is very tough physically and academically. They do their pt outside on hot pavement in early hrs with red ants, etc all around them. I think they started with a class of 28 and now have 13 left. What is nice is that they start to really bond since the group is so small. He just started diving in the ocean today..120 ft dives. I'm sure your sailor will work hard and do fine. Excellent instructors! only 2 more months to go. He has been there 2 months and has 2 more to go if he makes it all the way!

Thanks Liza...good to hear. We get over one huge thing...and then another.v I think their dive prep class did pretty well. Not even close to 50% dropped. Well be in touch I'm sure.
