I know it is supposed to be a big secret, but has anyone heard when battlestations is? Or has  anyone gotten an "I am a sailor" call yet? Just anxious!

Can anybody tell me if while on Liberty (after PIR) young son can wear his regular clothes when with us at hotel. I've heard that they cannot, but I'm not sure. He will have already moved across the base to his new quarters and will have a couple of days liberty.

They can have there laptop n phone etc. I got broadband from verizon for my son so we could skpye on weekends.

Becky to when dive prepp begins the instructor gives them update from week to week cause others from other training that do not make it, may get into the diveprep. I knew a couple guys came from seal( buds) that did not make it. Diveprep is not only from guys from bc but others who are already in the navy and have been perparing for it. I hope this help. I know it can be a waiting game. Time will fly. I knew I was just like you in the begining. We are all here for you.

Mamasan I will keep your son in my prayer for pool week. Tell him to get sleep sleep n meditate. I taught my son how to meditate which help him alot during pool week. Please keep in touch

Yeah huge & I will be able to pick my son up for liberty! With my nephew David, I also picked up his buddy from CA & he spent the day using my pC & phone to connect w/ his girlfriend & family. I can do the same for you guys if they know my son i would be more than happy to sponsor them in my home. Those days can't come soon enough!

They can have all the electronics they want basically, some had TV and Xbox. They become real people again... at least outside of training ;)

Yes, sry I thought the question had been answered. My son has both his phone and his laptop. They have to pay for their internet, can pay with their roommates and share the cost. The phones are only used outside training time. i can't stress enough the different climate from BC...huge! After a few weeks they will get upgraded to a different phase of liberty and will be able to leave for the weekend with a buddy...

My nephew could have all electronics in A school, Dive Prep! I don't know, that's a whole different animal! Hoping someone will know and answer you. I plan to ge see my son's recruiters tomorrow, I will ask them for you. But they are not divers and don't always know.
