Hi everyone im pretty new to the diving group and have absolutly no idea if this is were im suppose to be lol. My Fiance jsut got "asked" rather strongly urged  to apply and take a test for Combat Camera which is park of Mass commmunications rate. We just fund out about this a couple days ago and i've been looking on the web to no avail. i know combat camera has something to do with diving, so is anyone familiar with it or the NECC?

I will always be here for him!! No matter what! We plan on getting married as soon as he gets a little further into dive school! He wanted to get married sooner but I wanted to wait so he had no distractions in dive school!

My husband's family didn't support him either and kept trying to talk him out of it. Not like the Moms on here at all :) That's great that he has you and he'll def need all your love and support to make up for his family!

Thank you guys! I honestly think I am more nervous then he is! His family didn't support him joining the Navy at first so since day one I have always been his number one supporter and biggest fan! And thanks Wanderlust I will make sure he knows not to go into dive school thinking its going to be easier. We talk and text on and off all day (he is waiting for his class to start May 26th) and he seems pretty excited about everything. But yes pep talks will be a must every night! I am proud of him and always will be!

Hmmm... Well all you can really do is be his biggest fan and
loudest cheerleader. My husband had a hard time with a few of the pool tests at
dive prep and each night I would give him a pep talk. It was all mental for him
so he needed to be reminded of how great he is and everything he has
accomplished so far. I think I said you can do this and I'm proud of you a
million times.

Also, for him the first month or so in Panama was much worse
than dive prep. They all went in with the notion the hardest part was over and
that certainly wasn't the case. The first two weeks were brutal and he just had
to power through it. Its different for every class, depending on the
instructors.

Keep us updated and good luck to you both! :)

Do you two ladies have any advice on what I can do to help my boyfriend thru this all???? He just started dive prep school and I heard thats the hardest part! I am so nervous for him!

haha, that's too funny! my husband's group called themselves the "Original G's" or something like that.  who knew all divers were such nerds?

aw, jealous! that last trip was my last one before graduation.  I hope these next 2 months don't go too slowly!

Comment by Wanderlust on May 12, 2011 at 3:45pm
Haha. Chatty maybe, but def proud :) The guys seem to get close since they spend so much time together. I hear a lot about everyone but still don't know any first names! Back in dive prep there was a group my husband would hang out with... called themselves the Fab Five... such nerds!

I'm heading back to FL next week for the last time before graduation. Only two more months...

Aw, I hope you get to go back to Washington!  That sounds so great.  When I was visiting in FL a few weeks ago, I did get to meet your husband briefly. It's definitely strange to meet all these people that know so much about me and our life; I guess I just need to accept that I have a very chatty husband!  (But even the girl cutting his hair knew all about me!)
