FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We were talking with Smichelle up by the pool tables. Our son's GF's were getting to know one another.

We left his phone at the lock and go lockers so he went over today and picked his phone and computer . He gave us a phone call tonight. Wow felt good to have communication back. He was happy to get started . Where are you all from ? We are from Virginia Beach....

Yeah roller coaster is right. I understand there is a very high attrition rate here.Guess we only changed roller coasters. Sent his phone yesterday. He should have it by tomorrow.He called Wed with address to mail. He said he likes his dorm room and has roomies with 1 month experience already.Maybe they will fill him in.

@Oldestof4:  I'm so glad for your son's being able to get back into the swing.  :D  But I can't say I'm a big fan of the terminology . . . "recycled?"  BLECH!!  Doesn't sound very loud and proud to me!!  I want a new term!  How about . . . ummm . . . REGENERATED . . . or REBOOTED . . . or maybe even REESTABLISHED?

Muuuuch better.  ;)

Hooray LadyHawk and Veryproud!!  The contracts they sign will have a "ship out" date . . . keep us posted!  Once they ship, there's a whooooole 'nother bunch of groups to join/start on N4Ms!  You're going to have so much fun!  :D  Three cheers for Navy Divers!!
