Hey everyone!  Happy Fall Day!  (sorry, but our temps have fallen below 80 so we think winter or fall is here!)

Does anyone know what airport I would fly into to see our Nukes?

Sue - congrats on having an LTJG!  That's awesome and we're proud to know you and since we know you, we know your son.....so according to my calculations, we're related!

Edwina - what's the latest in your neck of the woods?  Update us on Lafe and Becca!!!!

Jeanne - I think I sent you a message on FB.  I'll try again!!

Jennifer - I think my Nuke has forgotten how to use a phone.  You know, these new cell phones are really hard to dial out on!!  I'm just saying, maybe that's why my nuke hasn't called.  Maybe I should put together a "How To Keep Your Mom Happy and Off Your Back" booklet!  What do you think?

I think my sailor fell off the sub into the briny ocean and is just bobbing around looking for me!!  Oh wait - they're in dry dock!

My sailor is already practicing "Radio Silence" by not calling.  Isn't that wonderful?  Just makes me want to pinch that little old head off!!

This is how we're learning stuff, 'cuz some of our sailors hate "talking" to their mamas!!!

Thanks for the heads up Jeanne!  Since we're from Florida, we don't really have "winter wear".  When Nuke Boy graduated from BC, I had to buy a coat up at GL.  I think I got to wear it 2 maybe 3 times this past winter.  On the plus side, I bet they don't have bugs like we do down here!!

Edwina - now I KNOW we have to go up North!  Thanks for updates!  I've been reading a lot about the Portsmouth area and know how lucky he is to be there.

My late father-in-law was a full bird for the Air Force.  The townspeople complained to him about the personnel on the base and how they didn't want them in town anymore.  He had the paymaster pay everyone with $2 bills.  As soon as the merchants and others saw how much they were making from the base, the complaints stopped.

I heard that the folks in Norfolk are the same way with the Navy personnel.  My mother-in-law said "if only they could see how much comes from the Navy, they would treat the Navy better".

Have a great weekend and post some pictures of Portsmouth and Kittery when you can.  I missed out on a good dinner, didn't I?

Edwina - you looked like you were having fun in the hurricane!!  The dinner looked good, too.  Gosh, it's only 8:45am and I'm now ready for lunch!  Wonder what time Red Lobster opens?

Thank you so much for the updates.  We're now contemplating a trip up North around Christmas time to see Nuke Boy.  Wonder what the weather will be like then?

Cool!  Nuke Boy didn't want to have to carry his mail from the sub to the barracks!  I was thinking of sending a box marked "Victoria's Secret" just to be mean.  Maybe I should rethink that!!!!!!!!!  or not........

Jeanne  - do you have their zip code to mail letters, etc.  Nuke Boy said he had it in his car, but he didn't want to go down the 4 flights of stairs to get it.

What 'cha  doing to do?
