DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

What a roller coaster. Glad to know the constant knot in my stomach is normal and the frequent crying anywhere anytime. My son is an MA with the Navy. He is a canine dog bomb handler. He has been assigned to the 525 Battlefield Surveillance Battalion in FOB Spin Boldak. He goes on frequent missions and will not discuss with me. He is living in a convex. Anyone out there that can relate. I am just so thankful I found this group. Diane

Hi Diane!  You are right where you belong, as I'm sure you can tell by what you read.  Please join us in the main section...more people will see your comments and questions.  This group truly saved my sanity...or what little I possessed, and I'm sure you will feel right at home here.
Hello. My son is I think only 1 of 10 Navy in FOB Spin Boldak. Wheree is your son?

My daughter, Amanda is in Spin Boldak. She has been there 3 months now.

Hi Wanda! Ryan just returned home. Got some great pics of his homecoming! Ask Wanda if she knew Ryan the dog handler?
Whoohooo!!! good on Ryan!!!
Hi rysony!  I've been wondering about you and your son.  I'm thrilled he is home safe and sound.  Please post your pics in the main section...We all LOVE to see the kids come home!!!  Hugs, MT
I sure will. Have been working a lot and remiss in getting on here and posting. Hope you are doing well! I will post pics! The feeling of having them back safe and sound is the most wonderful of feelings!! I still need to support the other MOMS! My goshe he brought me back so many beautiful gifts from Kandahar Boardwalk. I was shocked. He came home so loving.
He came into Corpus and has another month there then will be stationed at Groton, Conn. Guess I will be seeing the East Coast soon!
To this day, my son ends every conversation, email, with "I love you, mom."...since he returned from a war zone. They learn quickly what really matters, mom.
Yes! Well Texas Mom, Texas gave him a pretty nice home coming and it was just him that got off the plane. It was unbelievable how they welcomed him back.
Rysony, how do you handle that job? oh, my! We're all with you! please join us in the main thread, lots of the moms never see these discussions and I know they are great at support..and needing support from an experienced  mom...
Can you help me to where to navigate through this? I finally did post on main introduce yourself. Is that where I post?
