What a roller coaster. Glad to know the constant knot in my stomach is normal and the frequent crying anywhere anytime. My son is an MA with the Navy. He is a canine dog bomb handler. He has been assigned to the 525 Battlefield Surveillance Battalion in FOB Spin Boldak. He goes on frequent missions and will not discuss with me. He is living in a convex. Anyone out there that can relate. I am just so thankful I found this group. Diane

Diane spoke with Ryan. They have a nice laundry facility in Spin. You just drop off your bag of dirty clothes and you can pick them back up in 24 hours. He said there might be a place where you can use or purchase a microwave. The mess hall is great and opened 24 hours for food. The commisary is small like a convenience store. I sent him lots of stuff, like Peanut Butter and wipes. Your son will know real soon what you can send him. Hope this helps!

Can you ask him what kind of com they have and if they have microwaves.  Silly, but at his last FOB they did so I sent him all sorts of items to heat up.  Any laundry facility for them.  Again, he only got to do his laundry once a month when they went to Dwyer.  Thanks for the info.

Hey Diane,

I will talk to him some time today and ask him to give me all info he can think of that would be helpful. I will get back with you.
