Hi everyone,
As of Tuesday my Sailor has been reassigned to the Career Councilor's office, for the next 90 days. Seems the CO wanted someone that didn't need to be trained. She is now M-F 7 to 4. Not sure she is liking it so far. Katie was really getting into all the bells and buzzers she was working with. Now she has an international phone line, a filing cabinet and a presentation to give next Tuesday. Doesn't sound too bad to me, that's her degree in communication at work.

Hi EVERYONE! I am new to your group!
My son is going to be stationed in Sigonella. For the next 3 years. He is so excited. He has to be on base by December 5th. I is just graduating from A school in Mississippi. He loved it. He loves the Navy! He is A LS. Ok, I need all the info! LOL I have family in Palermo. I am thinking this is not to far from where my son will be stationed. Of course there will be the language thing. LOL My son does not speak Italian and my family does not speak english. It is my Step fathers family, who raised me. All the Italian my son knows is what he taught him, which is the cuss words that I am sure he WILL NOT say. LOL Please I want info and stories. Nice to be in your group. Talk soon!

That's exciting, I will ask if she knows Jon.
Just found out she will be working in Tech Control.
It makes me feel better to know who's out there. Even if our Sailors never meet, the support if/when needed is important.

AJ, Marla said they would be happy to help Katie out, she is really missing having friends around and not being able to talk on the phone. I will send their e-mail to you! Kim

Morning! Well Katie just left for Norfolk. She asked if I knew any of your Sailor's names. Of course I don't, she figures if there are moms that are caring they will have kids that are caring...she has a point. So if anyone would like to e-mail me with their info, I will send Katie's right back to you and forward it to her. (ajdale07@comcast.net)

ScorpioMom & Loretta: I put a note in Katie's personal bag and listed all those who send her best wishes, thank you.
She is IT but has no idea what she will be doing until she gets there. She does know she will have a desk. I guess that is the only part of need-to-know she needed to know.
Hopefully she will find a Sailor who is leaving and wanting to sell a car and her sponsor has a list of housing already prepared for her. She also wanted to take her cat, that's where I said 'don't think so', which means she will also be looking for a owner leaving pet situation.
ScorpioMom:The best to your son and family. Once they get settled, life will be a lot easier.

Hi All! AJ...Skype has been our lifeline but...we have had horrible connections from the base hotel :( very frustrating, so we've been "typing" each other instead.Been told base housing and off base internet is much better. their car arrived early this week but they bought a "beater" to drive into town as theirs is new. the furniture arrives next week. They found a huge house to rent about 10 miles off base and move next week, they are sooo excited and ready to be in a home again!. Being in a hotel w/a 1yr old and working overnights has been a challenge! BTW there is a NAS Sig facebook page w/ lots of info on day trips and events on base. what will Katir be doing? Brandon is MA. Enjoy your day tomorrow and safe journey to Katie!
