Thank you, greatly appreciated.
I just want to say, Sig is one of the best and safest bases for you sailors to be. I have been there and have seen that it is one big family. They look out for one another, unlike most here in the states. The connections your sailor makes in Sig will be the base for all friendships in the future. I have noticed that group is the closest even though they may not now be stationed together.
Keep in contact with your sailor as much as possible and go visit, it will be a trip both of you never forget. Send packages with their local favorites, often. Send cards/letters, also important. They are half way around the world, they need to be reminded folks from home are thinking of them and what they are doing is important.
I have seen and heard way too much in the last 6 years and could go on but will stop.
Fair winds and following seas to all.
Blessings to you and Katie. I know how thrilled you must be for her to come home. My son has just begun his journey, he only graduated BC May 1st and I miss him so much. NMH's to you.
My Katie just received her DD214 and is looking to the future and furthering her education. She has 2 more weeks in uniform and then I will be so thankful she is home. I will continue to check in on this site and offer any comments/thoughts that might be of help. Thanks for all the support through out the years and most of all, God Bless all those who follow.
Well Hello everyone, and Thank you for all the response. Thank you AJ(Katie's Mom) for the link. My Sailor has been there since this last Wednesday, but he seems to like it. He is making friends and fitting in. Thank you again for all the response, I needed to hear from other parents.
AJ- There is??? Where? TIA!
Welcome Mom95! Our sailor arrived in August. Is getting settled in a bit & doing well. Hope yours like it.
There is a fb page for the base, your sailor should know. If you can't find it let me know.
Mom95- welcome. We are not the most active group but most check in from time to time. I do not know of a FB page. My sailor is 2 years in on a 3 year stint.
Hello everyone I'm new to the group, I joined a couple of weeks ago . My Sailor arrived yesterday. I am wondering if there's a FB page for Sailors in Sicily? Thank you
