There are a few who still follow I don't post very often. My son had a hard way to go when he was first there. Bed bugs topped off his first few weeks. Then temporary housing no internet there I hope you're sailor has a great time there.

Hello Belovedbyhim
My son has been in Sigonella for a little over 2 months. We miss him dearly , but Skype with him every weekend. That has made things easier for us. Wishing you and your son the best.
Hang in there :)

Well my Seabee son just arrived in Italy!  He wanted to Skype this morning but I was at work.   He forgot about the difference in time.  Trying hard not to miss him too much.  I look forward to getting to know you all and to hear all about his adventures in Italy.

Before you send anything get a new address from your Sailor or verify their address - as of Monday (1-13-14) they are completely changing their mail system.  Each group or section will have the same last 4 digits BUT each Sailor in that group will have their own box #.  My daughter works in the FMC (fleet mail center) and that is the latest and greatest info.  Hope this helps.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my son's extra 4 digits of the zip code are his box number.  We've been doing that for over a year.

Thought I would let you all know.
Happy Friday Everyone.

Welcome belovedbyHim!  I am pretty new too, I am still learning :)  Is there anything you would like to know?  I might be able to help, at least I will try :)

Hello Navy Moms
I was going to send a package to my son today, but I was informed that on all FPO address I would need additional zip code or the numbers that follows it. Otherwise he would not get his mail. I did send a message to my son and I am hoping to get that 4 digit code.
I did mail him a package beginning of December and he received 24th . I was able to track it via priority mail.
:) ....hoping the mail issue gets fixed.
Snacks are ready to go ....
