OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A young man wrote his mom and told her about a boy that gets no mail AT ALL in bootcamp. On top of that, the guys make fun of him.

Thought you guys might want to know...

You know you are still addicted when you get off of work and you run over hubby and son to get to the lap top and proceed to stay on until almost bed time. Friends will ask what you watched on TV last night and you have to tell them you don't have time for TV any more. They don't get it.
