Great information Kalynn!!! will be passing this on to my Son for sure, that is if he will ever call me back;). Sounds like some fun thing to do for those that are down there, will pass that along too.
If anyone needs me to pass along a hug to their Sailors in April let me know. Dune said i am not allowed to go along and hug everyone i see. I keep telling him that their Moms would want them to get a Momma hug:)

Ok, sorry I took so long to respond with this info, hopefully it can still be helpful to someone! There is a "Auto Skills Center" here on base (904)542-3227. It's a complete auto shop with 22 service bays, and a ASE-certified master mechanic available for asistance. Hours of Operation are Monday, Thursday, Friday 12-8pm and Sat, Sun 9am-5pm. My hubby goes there to do all the maintence on our cars, they have all the tools you will possibly need, very helpful, somethings cost a little bit (like to use the big lift, I think was $4), still saves ALOT of money!! There is also the Navy Exchange Autoport - (904)777-7147 which I think is what ZZ'smom noticed, they do sell goodyear, but they are a do it all service shop...we've noticed prices aren't much different than off base, but they don't try to sell ya stuff you don't need and no tax of course!!
Also a recommendation to everyone:
Go to the NAS Jacksonville MWR facebook page and like it for different updates on activities going on around the base. https://www.facebook.com/#!/NASJAXMWR
From that page I came across a post that said to download an app and MWR is on this app and has challenges (things you can do - kinda like a scavenger hunt to get you more involoved with things on base) and the winner gets an ipad 2. This would be a great thing for the single sailors out there! App name: SCVNGR available on the Android Market and Apple App Store. More info: http://www.scvngr.com/
And ZZ'smom, I would love to meet your daughter. We won't be around much longer, we just got our orders to move in March to NAS Patuxent River, Maryland, but I always love making new friends and with the way our lives are in the Navy friends always seem to cross paths again at somepoint!
Thanks Ladies and navymom i'll go check that right out. Dune was so excited to finely get that car.. Subaru, has wanted one since he was 12. He and another buddy put the new exhaust on after Christmas, his gift from us, and then kaput went the clutch, flywheel and something else. Thank you so much for the kind words from your Son. We think he is a pretty good guy also.
Dunesmom my son's friend did recognize your son. He said ya I know him he is a good kid. He hasn't been here long. I sent you a friend request so I can give you my son's cell number for your son.
