My daughter finished boot camp in Nov. And has been at Pensacola for A-Pact Training. She finishes on Friday and will then head to JAX where she is to be assigned to a helicopter squadron. I am new to Navy and still learning as I go:)

I am still here. My oldest sailor is now in Cali at Point Mugo but we still live here in Jax. And my middle sailor is in San Diego now after being in Japan for 3 years.

How about a roll call?  Check in with a little info about you and your sailor.

I'm curious about who is following this group these days.  I try to check in every few days to see if anyone has posted.  Guess I missed it this time!

FYI to all here, my son is Aircrew (AWO) at JAX and is in his 5th year in the Navy.  I live in California.

Navymom14, have you joined the Aircrew group?  They are a great bunch and are very informative.  (Mine is also AWO)

I believe the problem can be that the post office, where they pick up their mail, is only open certain hours and they are at work at that time.  Mine had some issues with lost items, but it's been a while since he lived on base. Also, I lose track of which housing had which issues! LOL

I have sent a couple of packages to JAX and he got them in a timely manner. Once his package arrived on base it took an extra day or two to get to the area where he picks up his mail.
