Thanks?!! I have been here for awhile, just haven't posted since Oct. I stay pretty much confused about all this Navy stuff! But, I'm used to that, Hubby is former Navy. I find that being a good listener and supporter is the best thing they need.

Don't leave any valuables in your car. My son had his lock broken on his car and his stuff stolen. He lives in a condo on Padre Island and thought it was safer out there than on the mainland.

Hi Andrea,
I actually had read about the cake you ordered before I joined yesterday, thought that was such a great idea! We are still in the planning stages of the weekend, but am definitely going to order the cake if we are going to do a bbq Saturday - my aviator is just trying to get the last of his flights in and doesn't want to discuss partying yet :) Congratulations on your daughter's achievement, it's all so amazing!

Hi,
Just joined this site and was wondering if anyone has a son/daughter to be winged 2.26.10 in Corpus?

Thanks Jane, that helps alot!! Best of luck to him as he makes his choice. Will there be a ceremony in Corpus when he is finished with that part of training?

Hi DJ,
I am still confused about how all the training works. Was Win in Corpus before he went to Kingsville? My DS has said that where he goes after Corpus will depend on what plane he will be flying. Also, how long has he been in training since finishing up at OCS? DS graduated from OCS in January, then went to Pensacola for 8 months. He has been in Corpus since August. I am just trying to get a grasp on the timeline, even though as a Retired Navy wife I know that Navy time is always up in the air!

Hi Nancy, congrats to Josh. My son has been flying in Corpus Christi for a couple of months now and said that he is studying 10 times harder than he did in college. (he got his degree in Aerospace/professional pilot). We actually heard more from him when he was at OCS!! At least we would get those "weekly" phone calls then.
