They liked Italy alot but they really liked Rota Spain. Thats where they met. He was stationed there and she was over there on an exchange program while she was at University of Ga. Steve has been in 15 1/2 years now so he doesn't have that much longer to go to reach 20. He will be an instructor there in Pax. I don't know who and if they have a sponser but you know how that goes. I can't wait til the baby comes and we drive up for a visit. Hopefully we will be able to meet at that time also. Heard there was a bad storm headed your way. Take care in it. Karen

Thay will be there for 3 years they are comming over from Gaeta Italy where they have been for 3 years. Well see then you and Steve and celebrate your birthdays together and maybe the birth of my grand daughter also. I talked with Mikel Lauren and gave her your email. She is thankful to have someone to talk with before hand. She is flying home to Ga. next week and he will follow on the 17th. They are comming to Florida for a few days and I can't wait. Then I know he has to go to school in Norfolk for a couple mof weeks then to Pax by the 16th March so I am sure she will be able to use all the help she can get being 8 months along by then. How old will you be on your birthday? He will be 34 and she is 28. How long has your hubby been in? What does he do? Ok Thanks again.

Allison. Thank you soooooo much I will let Mikel Lauren know about your email I am sure she will get ahold of you. However, they are not looking at living in base houseing as they are looking to buy a house inthe area. Maybe you could give them some ideas on what areas to stay away from and what areas are nice. and I know she willl be glad to meet someone that can show her the area as she will only have a month to go before the baby comes. She is due April 19th which happens to be my sons birthday. Thanks again.

Thanks Michelle, Yes I am really glad he will be back state side. I am in Florida so I am guessing that it will be about a 14 hour drive ot so but still alot closer then Italy. I can't wait to hold my new grand daughter April can't come fast enough. I talked with them last night and the thing that stinks is that when they finally get there they will only have 15 days to find a place to live and with her being 8 months along by then its going to be hard. I guess they will just have to stay in a hotel on their own until they find a house to call a home. But I guess thats just the Navy way. My son should be use to it by now after 15 years.

I'm flying to Pax River next week to spend a few days with my son. Can anyone recommend the Navy Lodge? Or should I look for a hotel near the base? Thanks!!
