Leslie- Congrats to Brian!! (and to you!) DS in API called yesterday to tell us that he got to fly twice this week for a grand total of three times in 4 weeks- the weather in Corpus has been terrible for awhile- once his flight was cancelled while he was sitting in the plane waiting to take off!! Im hoping its smoother from here on out.

Our horse is on the mend.  He is such a good boy and so tired of having syringes shoved up his mouth.  2 more days and I'll be done with that.  He's a picky eater and he has to have a supplement in his grain for the next month at least, but he is going to make it for now.   Thanks again for all the prayers.

Navy wife and Mom - I believe that the boat is out in the Gulf again, I really appreciate his service.  They warned them to stay close but I think that it was still better than Thailand.  I don't think he was much impressed.  I am still trying to find out when he is coming home though.  I'm not sure that we will know much before he actually gets home.

Nancy, I'm thinking of you and your pup.  I know that it is hard.

More snow for the weekend also.  5 inches today.  Very strange for February.

Nancy, I'm sorry about your older golden. They are wonderful animals and I'm sure you will miss him terribly.  We've been watching our 15 year old Blue Heeler mix who is blind, but has made it a year amazingly.  With the problems with TJ the horse this week, we look at her and wonder how long we would have her with us. She's been blind for just about a year and is doing wonderful, but each week she seems to get more sore in the hips and "smelly".  She can clear a room quite fast.

TJ the horse is doing well.  I don't have to give her the medicine that looks like pottery clay anymore, which he seems happy for.  Makes life much easier.  it looks like we will have him with us for awhile more.  He's a sweet boy and I'm very glad that he decided that he was going to get well.  All your prayers were greatly appreciated as he was a very sick boy.

I'll be actually going to work tomorrow.  I left early Monday to meet the vet at the barn and worked from home to be able to go out all week with the 4 times a day.  Thankfully Jeff was able to help this weekend. It's goknig to be a long week as I am just recovering for last week.

Everyone have a great week.

Thank you all for your prayers.  We are over the crisis with our oldest horse and he is doing very well.   He's getting feisty as he is getting tired of medicine being shoved up in his mouth.  He has been such a trooper.  My DS called today from Bahrain.  I guess the boat is there for Liberty.  He states because of the unrest, they have been cautioned to stay close to the hotels.  We got disconnected before he could tell us more, but I was able to tell him that his horse was feeling better.  Of course, because he hasn't had email in 4 days, he didn't know he was sick.  I would have hated telling him that he wasn't doing better.

The snow has stopped and now it is getting messy as we have had warmer weather.  Snow blowers are great however.

Again, thank you all for your prayers because it obviously worked.

AH,  my thoughts and prayers are with you also. We have a 19 year old cat that has a hard time but at least I can pick him up. I know it must be difficult for you.

I think all you prayers are working.  Thank you.  We aren't out of the woods yet, but he's eating pretty well and actually is kicking the trots.  DH went out this morning and took a picture of a pile of manure.  Just what I wanted, however, I was glad to get it as it means that he may be getting better.  I still worry about the water intake but we are hoping.

Thank you for all the prayers.  Your dd is lucky to have you to take care of the granddogs.  My DS would love to get a dog but just doesn't see how he can given their deployments.

Still snowing......

That may be next. We have about 15 inches of snow at our house right now and about 2 feet out where we keep him and our other two.  Was just barely able to get in to do the early morning doctoring.  It was hard to see if he has drunk anything, as the snow has gone down in his water.  I had to stomp down a path to get to it this morning so I know he hadn't tried.  I'll be talking with the vet again this morning, but there is no way I'll pull a trailer in this.  There isn't a stall open in the barn either right now, so we wouldn't be able to hook him up in there.  not a good deal all around.

James, very cool - I just shared with my son who said he hopes I can post the same about him in 18 months or so; he just started his flying lessons (leading up to solo) this week!

Hi Leslie - They have P3's up at Whidbey Island, don't they?

Gotta brag -- DD went with crew to Strike at NAS Fallon and is probably going to Red Flag in Las Vegas!  DD never ceases to amaze me....so, I'm seeing a trip to Vegas in the future!  Keeping all our kids/families in my prayers.
