Well my DS just told us that he didn't get his 1st choice for his next assignment, but watch out all you students at VFA 122 in Lemoore.  Sometime next year after his deployment he will be an instructor there.  They didn't leave this past weekend for some reason, but will be by the endo of the week, or at least leave for San Diego by the end of the week.  Since he is head LSO for his squadron, he will walk on in San Diego and direct planes on board. We gave him his Christmas present early.  It is a painted wood FA18E model which is hard to get.  Now he has all 3 of the planes that he has flown.  With the exception of the F model.

thanks Chris and navymominohio. The wedding was in Buffalo, NY- all I could think about was a freak snowstorm- but alas all was calm.

they now live in Norfolk VA and my daughter just graduated from college and lives near DC. Depending on what the future hold my hubby and myself may have to leave these beautiful winters in upstate NY and head towards Virginia:)

Leslie- where is Conor going- I must have missed that.

Been busy with wedding- just starting to get pictures. I have posted some on my page and will add a few here. Allison gave DS a groom's cake with wings at the rehearsal dinner- really neat.

the sword arch was amazing and each time they passed they had to "kiss" for the swords to be raised. I am still coming down off an amazing weekend and now have a beautiful daughter- in- law. Time for them to have some time together as the Enterprise goes out again in March or April.

Congrats on all of the new assignments for all of our brave aviators and their families
