I went to my son's winging ceremony in Corpus Christi 2 weeks ago.  He made me feel so proud.  What a wonderful group of aviators I met.  We took lots of pictures and had perfect weather.  My "Ensign" is now off to Jacksonville for P3 training.  At least that's closer to Michigan in case I have an urge for a road trip!  For those of you with pilots in JAX, do they rent their own apts. or still room with friends?  Just curious.

All -- It might seem a bit premature but I'm thinking about Christmas already.  My family takes turns picking a charity to contribute to every year instead of buying gifts for each other.  This year it is my turn to pick.  I have a very special place in my heart for female sailors, officer or enlisted, especially aviators, and most especially those who are deployed.  MY SD is deployed but because of circumstances of geographic location, mission, etc., we have been BLESSED BEYOND WORDS to be able to Skype and even talk on the phone once in awhile.  I wondered if any of you knew of a charitable organization to caters to deployed women?  If you do, could you please post it so I can look and see what the organization is about?  I would sure appreciate it!  And to all, a good night :-)

Hey Paymaster -- That quilt is absolutely great!  I'm attempting my very first quilt for my VERY FIRST grandchild, who is due in about 7 weeks :-)  IF I am successful I will post a picture.  Otherwise, y'all will have to wait awhile..LOL.

Just thought I would share a cute little quilt I made.  Believe it or not I am keeping this one for me!  I have only keep one other quilt I have made in the 12 years I have been quilting.  All the others have either been donated or given as gifts.

Lynn - clicked on your profile picture and saw another page for Lemoore Moms. I think I will look at that more closely over the weekend. When my DS was in OCS, I used this site to look at pictures that were posted by family members who were able to visit. And when I went to the graduation, I recognized some of his new buddies. In June, when he was married, several of those same OCS guys were in the wedding or at the wedding. And it all started with N4M!!

It is fun to hear about other pilots, and their families, and I learn a lot! Sort of like a "sisterhood" + James.  :-)

Hi, Aviation Moms!  I found a few smiley emoticons that I thought you might enjoy.  To save, place your cursor on the pic, right click, then "Save As."  Name the file to whatever folder you like, and you can place it in documents and emails!  Hugs, k.

Hey Lynn, tried to PM and didn't get through. I sent you a friend request and maybe that will do it.  We plan on being in Lemoore the evening of the 13th.  We don't really have any vacation time left this year because of Tiger Cruise so we are just going to be there for a couple days.  We are flying into LAX and driving up as it is cheaper.  We'll leave on Monday am.  I'm just hoping to see DS some. He will just be getting back from Comptuex or something like that earlier in the week and says that he likely will have to work the air show.  I'm hoping they will give him a day to spend with his folks.
