I'm sorry Denise- I will be thinking of you during this weekend. You will get through this. Andrew's grandfather (air force flight surgeon) passed while he was in Corpus- I felt the Navy did a wonderful job of allowing him to fly home for a few days. Hang in there.

Sorry - that did not make much sense, did it? I was interrupted in the middle of my message. I meant to say that my DS has a few friends from OCS also going to Lemoore. I will try to pay attention next time! :o)

Congratulations to you and your son! This is a big day for him... not quite like the winging, but still very exciting. He has some OCS friends joining him in Lemoore, I think. We have a hometown friend in Whidbey (enlisted), and her photos are beautiful! Let us know how things go next week!

Our DS soft winged today in Jax.  The winging ceremony is a week from today in Meridian.  It's possible that he will be in Lemoore.  I know he said alot of the guys winging this week were asking for Norfolk, he put down Whidbey Island as his first choice.

Hi, All! I've been reading posts for awhile, but this is my first one! Thanks for sharing your stories.... My DS is now in Lemoore: "the RAG" now called FRS. He just left Meridian (where he got his wings) in June, so hollender1 reminded me of how exciting that news is! CONGRATS!! He also just got married (in Pensacola) in June, so it has been quite a spring/summer for him. It sounds like we are all proud of our pilots, at all stages. I look forward to hearing more from each of you. Anyone else have a son or daughter in Lemoore?

Just got some great news--DS was selected for Jets. He's off to Meridian, MS for Advanced training.
