Paymaster - did my friend get together with her?
Comment by Paymaster on May 17, 2011 at 2:11pm

Just thought I’d share. Its been 5 months since my daughters fiancée was killed in a single car accident.  She finally seems to have turn the corner and is making progress.  It wonderful to see her start to move forward. She has started working out with a couple of different friends.  She has started boxing, which she use to do as a teenager.  A girlfriend of hers has got her started in Yoga.  Another friend has her running twice a week with him.  Its feels so good to see her letting people back in her life.  I hope that I never have to relive these last five months with her.

Thanks for all that prayed for us and sent good thoughts our way.

Great pictures, Shelia.....what a good looking couple. These kids sure make us proud don't they. Congrats again. Hope you and your mom are doing well.

I'm sitting here in my office on the computer watching Top Gun.....how appropriate.

Thanks to everyone for the congrats.

Sheila: I have been following all your trials and am amazed at how you manage. I really hope and pray that your routine eases up a bit.

Navy Wife: We are not sure of the squadron yet. He told me he expects to find out when he gets back to Florida. He gets his orders Monday and he is taking advantage of the house hunting leave, so unless they tell him with his orders, he will know in about 2 weeks

Whoever mentioned flight suits/pictures: I was extremely lucky in that when my son was in Las Cruces the local paper did an article about the Navy training going on at the airport and they included a picture of my son in his flight suit. I was able to order a copy. If it wasn't for that I would have nothing.

Helomom....I have yet to find the answer to the question "How many pictures do you need of the aircraft"!

It's really great to hear from the Helo community on this board! Congrats to all your sons and daughters who have selected helicopters. I've been a proud helo mom since August 2001. The highlights of our infrequent visits with our son have always been trips to the squadron. How many helicopter pictures do you need? An infinite number. I hope you have a chance to ride in one of the trainers. It's better than Disneyland! How do they land on those little ships with all the wires, fences, super structures, antennas and stuff? "Drop the wheels on the white squares, you will fit." Sure...
