BTW...You need to remember that when they are portraying military personnel  on TV or in the movies, unless they are actually active or reserve they have to change the uniform because if they didn't then it would be impersoniating (spelling) military personnel which is a crime.

This is for any Dancing with the Stars fans out there - if you saw last night's show, Hines Ward was dressed as the "Officer" from Officer and a Gentleman - I was VERY upset at the "uniform" he was wearing with what appeared to be Naval Aviator Wings on his hat - was anyone else offended by that or am I crazy?? I am so ready to send a scathing email to ABC!  Thanks for letting me vent!

Granddaughters are amazing and yours MMF is absolutely adorable.  I was lucky enough to spend the last 4 days with my 7-year old GD in San Diego where we surprised my oldest for his 30th (how did that happen) birthday.  Finally saw the sun for the first time in what seems to be a year here in the Northwest :)

More moving questions.....for those of you who have moved their LO's household via UHaul. My son will not be able to pack up his stuff and move it. We will be moving it ourselves. Has anyone else done this?  My son is going to pay for it but will not be driving it. How do we set up the rental so that my son gets reimbursed? Any other info on how to handle this kind of move is appreciated! Thanks

DJ - LOVED THE PICTURES OF CQ!  How amazing our SDs are!  Yah, I'm still kind of anxious about SD leaving on DET but they have a great crew and are well-prepared for their big adventure.  Thank GOD for Skype and email :-)  My mother says it's revenge for me joining the Navy in 1976 and then having the audacity to get stationed at GTMO for 18 months...LOL....Love to all...Patty

DJ,

Thanks so much for that link - the pictures are amazing!! Our son just finished API and should arrive in CC sometime today to start primary. Easy move for him this time since he and 3 others from OCS were in a furnished apt. in Pensacola. Pretty sure he's dreaming about jets - I'm going to email him the link because I know he'd love to see those photos.
