Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

flyboymom... so happy for you!  Contact of any sort is great, but very neat that you could actually talk with your aviator.  I hope all involved are well/improving.

Flyboymom - that is such great news that you heard from your Flyboy - so glad he's ok, I'm sure it was a great relief to be able to talk to him!

Denise - I watched the show, but didn't know which on your son was and maybe you don't want to say here, so please PM me.  The secret wedding was really touching, that poor girl was so very sad during the episode

Bummer.....but that is what I was expecting...but not what I was hoping, :)

At least he is geeked about going and has such a positive attitude about it!!

Does anyone know if my son will be able to leave the base at all during his first week at SERE in NH? I know the first week is classroom. I have a friend who lives near the base and his birthday happens to be 5 days into training.

Thanks for any insight.....

Denise - please refresh our minds, which one is your son?  I will be taping it so I can play it back in slo-mo :)

Leslie, I just sent a friend request to you... glad to help with copy & paste how-to's but don't want to hog the board here. :-))

For posting a link to a website, copy the web address from the browser bar and paste the link where you want it to appear.  You can also click on the first icon "Link" above the Comments box and add the link that way.  :-)

Leslie, to change the color of your links (and do other edits) look up above at the tabs just below the Navy for Moms banner and you should see the third tab from the left: My Page.
Click on that, then on the left hand side below your photo & location info, find Manage My Page or My Photo and click on My Page.
You will see several topics under My Page Settings, one of them is Appearance.
Click on that and you'll reach a page called Edit Appearance of Your Page.
Lots of Theme stuff you can explore on this page, but to answer your Links question:
Scroll down the page to the "Now, make it unique" section.
There are several tabs, choose the All Options tab in the middle.
There you will see several topics that can be edited, one of them is Text.
One of the choices for Text is Links. Click the color box and you can pick a color & click OK.
Just make the link color a different color from your regular text color and it will stand out in your comments.
When you're done with your changes, scroll down a bit more on the page & click Save.
Hope this helps!
