I am not sure about the housing for Whiting questions. My son was at Pcola then Whiting. They opted for an apt that was half way between. Kings Mill Apartments. It was lovely, visited several times... screened in porch and lots of grass. They have a largish dog, and that was fine, they supply the baggies and have plenty of green space. As far as aparrtments go, it was the nicest they  have ever been in, without the stresses of having to do lawn work etc. Hope this helps.

I was wondering if they did give base housing for API.  My husband is currently at OCS for SNA.  We had looked at off base housing, but we only have one car right now and would like to try for on base for convenience.  Thanks for the info!  May I ask one question, did they have a wait list?

Rosemarie... all our SNA's have ups and downs. Try to remember how much the Navy has invested in them. They will do everything they can to keep them in. It does happen, but I have known several who have had their two strikes and had to meet the CO and even fly with him, yet are still progressing and some are even in permanent squadrons now, very successful. It is a stress management issue and the Navy even has tools to help the SNA's with stress management. It will be fine.

Failure of a specific event.  You can get 2 before going before the progress review board, if you pass that you get to go before the skipper, then more likely you are out.  This info is from my NFO son.

Leslie - if you go into your "Edit Profile" on FB, under Activities & Interests, add US Navy and I think you'll start getting the posts - don't think the "like" or 'join" will get them.

After looking, mine is the 197.00 one. Not too large at all.
