Believe me the P3s are not in great shape either - hopefully, the P8 will come sooner than later!

I'm sorry to say I just heard that the F-22 pilot died, it sounds like he didn't eject. Can't say anything else, I feel horrible.

The latest we've heard here in AK about the F-22 is that the army, air national guard, state transportation & others have been working with the air force to help with the search effort. The highway closest to the site isn't plowed in winter, but it's still relatively early in the season so DOT is getting it open. So far we only know the crash site is south of the Denali highway, where the terrain isn't as high as the Alaska Range on the north but is still a large, rugged area. The temperatures are in the zero or above range, so I'm hopeful that the pilot will be able to dig in and hold on until rescue, if he was able to eject. Today my thoughts were of him, his wife and children.
When I got home tonight I found out my son soloed on the T6 today. Normally I'd feel overjoyed for him but today I felt mainly relieved, tempered by this air search

I am so excited. DS is signing us up for Tiger Cruise next spring. He is signing us up for Phase 1 which is Hawaii to San Diego. The 2nd phase is San Diego to Everett WA and the 3rd is the whole thing from Hawaii to WA. While I would love to go up to Everett, I think time is going to be a factor and also, DS says that the planes leave by 100 mile to land so with him off the ship, I think I would rather drive up to Lemoore and visit with him for a few days.

I know that this would be a drive for some of you, but please drop by the Meet and Greet I am spnosoring. I would love to meet all of you!

The information is below.

Time: November 14, 2010 from 1pm to 4pm
Location: Fair Oaks, CA
Event Type: Meet and Greet

Come to a Meet and Greet in my home. It is a wonderful time to meet other Navy families in our area.

I am asking that guests attending the Meet and Greet bring a new toy to be donated to the Marine Corp, Toys for Tots program.

There will be a raffle put on by myself. For every toy bought to the Meet and Greet the guest will recieve a raffle ticket towards the chance to win a hand made quilt made by myself. .
