Okay - my bad - I could have sworn Chris said Erin was in the flyover (the urban legend was cleared up over on Naval Aviation)- that would have been awesome, but just knowing she was in the area is very cool too :) Well at least I know you all are hanging on everyone's comments - luv you guys!!

Flyover was amazing - I was alone with the dog and she thought something was wrong with me because I was yelling at the TV!! Incredible that it was our own little Erin in one of those birds - what a thrill for her!

Thank you for all your prayers. I am going to need them in the coming months. We can all be proud of our aviators. We deserve it!!!!! After all, I bet none of us tried to stop them from doing what they are doing now and I bet that all of us did what we could to make their dreams come true. We never discouraged Mike from doing exactly what he is doing and sit in awe of him sometimes.

My son has wanted to be a naval aviator since he was 3....guess our kids all knew what they wanted at a very early age. And they have all worked very hard to get to where they are now. Of course, we also all know that they could not have done it without the support of their families. We should be very proud of each and every one of them. I will probably not be seeing my son for the holidays for the first time ever also.

Yep - 4th grade. Even when it didn't look like it was going to happen because of an injury to his ankle that required screws, he never gave up hope. He got 3 job offers on the same day right before he graduated college. 2 from Northrup Grumman and one from the Navy. Obviously you know which one he chose. Not the highest paying... that's for sure. I am incredibly proud of the decisions that he has made and his dedication to them. We are officially into the longest time since I have seen him. 10 months today and I know that it is at least another 5 months or more. First Christmast too. I guess I've been pretty lucky in the last 28 years.

Thank you all for the prayers. Something is going on with e-mail right now and I can't send any - "too many hops"??? Not sure what that means but they aren't going through. Nothing on the FB page for the boat. I can't tell you how proud that I am of Mike, but scared too. They said that the boat was there to back up the Teddy Roosevelt for the surge in Afghanistan which really bothers me. All the same, I know that he is doing exactly what he decided that he wanted to do with his life back in 4th grade. He never deviated from it and he succeeded.
